Teva dispensed- not feeling good

Hi.

I’m on 75mcg liquid Levothyroxine. Plus 10mcg T3. Recently I was dispensed Teva Levothyroxine. I’ve only had this once before some years ago and remember not feeling good.

I’ve been taking it along with my T3 x2 5mcg daily. I was feeling so great after starting my T3 6 weeks ago. Had bloods done in 4th week and everything was optimal. TSH 0.46 (0.22 5.96) T4 11. ( 7.86-14.4) T3 4.9 (3.7-6.0) However, since starting Teva liquid thyroxine I’ve been feeling worse each day. I feel over medicated I think.

I feel very tired. Can’t sleep very well. Tingling all over. Anxious. I just had a thought is it Teva?! As before it I was just great. I do have another brand in my safety stock Wokhardt that I’m normally fine with.

Anyone experienced a bad reaction from Teva Levothyroxine please and how long to put right.

Many thanks

Pam

My husband had a very bad reaction to Teva: sinusitis... It affected his hearing. which has still not completely cleared after several weeks.

Hi. I’m really sorry to hear about your husbands reaction to Teva. It’s not effected my hearing. I feel overly anxious from feeling brilliant after starting T3 6 weeks ago. I did have a reaction to the tablets some years back but can’t remember what the reaction was. I haven’t taken it since until now.

Are you saying this is Teva liquid? Not Teva tablets?

Thousands of people react badly to Teva Levothyroxine tablets

Hi.

Yes liquid. I had a problem with the tablets some years back unfortunately I can’t remember what the problem exactly was now. I’ve not had Teva since until last week. Now I feel overly anxious and tired at same time. At first I thought I might be over medicated. I’ve just had s light bulb moment and thought it could be the Teva and wondered if anyone has had a bad reaction with it. I was feeling so good starting my T3 6 weeks ago I don’t want to lose that feeling so soon.

If you have a spare of original brand to try, then do so

It's so important to only ever change one thing at a time or you don't know which change is causing which problem or improvements

I took the Teva back to my chemist. They gave me Wokhardt now. Today I’ve taken the Wokhardt so I’ll see how i go now.

Thank you!
