Does anyone know anything about hair loss in relation to the fine hair that covers your body rather than your actual head hair? I seem to have developed 2 circular bald patches from my forehead and now it’s started disappearing from my throat.
Is this related to the thyroid or is an auto immune thing?
I have sub clinical hypothyroidism and Hashimotos and take 25 micrograms of Levo daily.
Thanks 😊

Hi, I wondered if you have had your vitamin D, folate, ferritin & B-12 levels checked recently. I read in a dated book that a folic-acid deficiency can lead to hair loss. This forum clearly recommends folate be tested for & replaced.
Are you on any new medications? I read hair loss generally occurs from prolonged use. You might ask your pharmacist as there is quite a list that can affect hair.
A stressful event, weight loss, especially crash dieting, heavy metal toxicity, malabsorption are some of many causes I see. My hair has been diffusely shedding so your post encouraged me to look it up. I also see iron deficiency, zinc deficiency as further possibilities.
Hopefully someone else will post & shed more light on this.
I have lost hair from under my arms (patchy) and my eyebrows are thin, also hair loss in an intimate place. I can't see the fine hair on my body except for some sparse hairs on my forearms.
