PCOS – my first treatment
About 10 days ago I went to see a specialist gynaecologist who wanted me to go for a TVS scan and run more bloods for prolactin, sex hormone binding globulin, testosterone and finally androstenedione (check out my post “Seeing my gynaecologist for the first time!” here). After seeing my consultant yesterday

Low Androgen / Low DHEAS / Low Testosterone & a Benign Thyroid Nodule - Extreme Fatigue - Feel Like Death :(
Hi I would welcome any thoughts on my blood results as I have to wait 6 weeks before I see the Endocrinologist to discuss them. My hormone levels are outside the normal range (Androgen/testosterone/DHEAS) and they are continuing to fall. I feel like death! I have zero energy; my hair is falling out;

Hi! I know lots of you have been so helpful over the last few months and given me so many good tips and advice. I wanted to say thank you! I had low Free T4 but most other test results (such as TSH) 'normal' with classic hypothyroidism symptoms. Also have a family history. Many of you suggested subclinical

It may be helpful!
10. How can I pull TSH? Every morning, lunch and evening 15 minutes before a meal, chew 4-5 grams of fresh dark green dill leaves and swallow with a few sips of water. Please, note, if you have high levels of prolactin, do not use it! Regarding this statement above, I was with 12.6 TSH in September

Another study showing in range TSH causes infertility
If in range TSH causes infertility, why can't they see that it can cause other problems?

Hi all I've recently had a blood test where my TSH is low and my T4 and T3 are normal. I have racing heart when lying down. My vitamin D levels are fine and so is my Vitamin B12 as I supplement. I take L-tyrosine to help with the T4 to T3 conversion. I have high levels of Prolactin and low levels of

Finally Endo is listening
I agreed to the Grand Experiment of reducing thyroxine dose to 128 mcg per day (I got her to write the script for 150 mcg tablets but skipped one per week to get to average of 128 mcg). This started mid August 2017. By October I was losing hair like crazy. I went from pony tail to rat tail and removed

Feedback please on latest test results?
I finally managed to get the Endo's PA to answer the phone and got my test results from mid December read out over the phone to me this morning. I was on 100mcg of Levothyroxine, and my bloods were taken at 9am on an empty stomach. I think, from memory, that I forgot to not take my levo dose the night

BRCA & Testosterone [T].
New Israeli study below [1]. The authors seem to have set out with the retro hypothesis that maybe BRCA men get aggressive PCa because their testosterone levels are too high? BRCA refers to the "breast cancer genes" BRCA1 & BRCA2. Hereditary mutations increase the risk of BCa in both women & men, &
