Help! Sudden and severe thyroid issue when pregnant and breastfeeding?
I went to the Emergency Room because the symptoms were so severe. Around the time of implantation (10 days past ovulation) I became very tired, my arms and legs became weak, jittery, shaky, feels like nerves are surging, high anxiety and trouble walking and balance issues and some dizziness. Heart sometimes

The forgotten effects of thyrotropin-releasing hormone: metabolic functions and medical applications
An interesting (and quite long) paper. It certainly is true that you can spend a very long time reading about thyroid and hardly ever see TRH mentioned.

New diagnosis found. Probable secondary hypothyroidism. Partial hypopituitarism. Normal Pituitary MRI. ? second opinion. Further tests?
Following a move to a different county I found my T3 prescription was cancelled before GP records transferred. So on T4 only From December 2017. I was referred to new Endocrinologist. My records and tests results were reviewed and found to be unusual. All blood tests taken at 9am fasting with 24 hour

Hypothyroidism & Prolactin
Hi I’ve had my prolactin level measured three times in my life. Twice while I was on the combined pill and once while 15 months post partum and still breastfeeding. I was not on any other medication. Each time they have been quite high- over 300. Is high prolactin levels associated with hypothyroidism

Hormone Imbalance
Hi I was on the combined pill for 12 years. I cannot remember what my periods were like prior to the pill (I was 15 when I started). However since coming off my cycles have been 35-40 days long. I came off in July 2015 due to migraine with aura and fell pregnant May 2016. I started having hormonal reflexology

Hi everyone, i'm new to this forum and desperately looking for advice to help me conceive. I was diagnosed with PCOS (through an ultrasound) about 2 years ago whilst looking into something else. As it stands now, we've been referred to the local fertility clinic and we've both had our tests done

Please help - worrying thyroid test results - need advice on how to proceed
This is a bit of a long one, but I'll try to keep this brief as possible - but happy to add more detail if needed. I ended up in A&E on NYE with severe palpitations and breathlessness. They had started a few weeks before in mid-Dec. A&E did some tests said everything was normal and was told I would

hypothyroid, PCOS, microprolactinoma
Hello, I'm new here. I've had PCOS for about 5 years, hypothyroid 4 and last year had an MRI which showed a microprolactinoma after the prolactin levels were elevated to over 1000 (now at 14 after taking cabergoline weekly). My TSH levels were raised recently after being stable for years, so they increased
