Hypothyroidism & Prolactin

Hi

I’ve had my prolactin level measured three times in my life. Twice while I was on the combined pill and once while 15 months post partum and still breastfeeding. I was not on any other medication.

Each time they have been quite high- over 300.

Is high prolactin levels associated with hypothyroidism? I am obviously now on thyroxine but I have no idea how long it takes for it to start working. I started taking this April.

Your great knowledge would be much appreciated!
