Recently Diagnosed with Liver Cirrhosis
Hi All, Unfortunately my father is diagnosed with Liver Cirrhosis 3 weeks back. He is diabetic since last 17 years. He never really had alcohol. Recently during our small family vacation, his legs had swelling - which often appeared during travelling due to legs hanging but disappeared after a night

Anyone get premature ventricular contractions from gastointestinal problems? I keep havibg mucus, pus, yeast in my stool...and sometimes blood when I wipe. Colonoscopy was clear. Could it be haemorrhoids?

Stem Cell Treatment
A little while ago I mentioned that liver transplants could one day become a thing of the past. Day by day the use stem cell treatment and research brings us closer to finding a cure for liver disease. HIV positive man in London becomes second person ever to be cleared of virus after stem cell transplant

PVC's (extra heartbeats) without a pause and compensatory beat afterwards?
Been very stressed/ anxious lately, and I keep noticing PVC's without any pauses and compensatory (very hard) beats afterwards. Usually I get the "regular" PVC's with the pauses and hard beats after. But this is different. It feels just like a normal, slightly harder beat in between the normal beats

Question for those with multiple AF ablation experience
I had my ablation on December 3rd, ten years to the day of first being diagnosed with afib and tach. I had stopped taking my flecainide 3 days before the procedure and was in full blown afib when they put me under. They had me back on the flec before I left the hospital. I had been on flec for over

Self identifying type of arrhythmias
I've been told that my ability to feel almost every one of my irregular heartbeats is not the norm. One doctor made me look away from the monitor and tell him when I felt an irregular beat - didn't miss one. Anyway, since I am well aware when they happen I often try to figure out what they are but honestly

Protein levels
Hi I was concerned that my excessive alcohol consumption had caused damage to my liver but was too embarrassed to go to my doctor so did a home test kit. My results showed that my total protein was in the high range (due to high globulin and albumin) but my bilirubin is low. After researching I'm confused

High heart rate momentary dips to 30s or 40s
In past few weeks, my Apple Watch shows rapid rise in heart rate when I go from reclining to sitting to standing position. Sometimes I feel a fluttering or pounding. The dip is just for a few seconds and then heat rate returns to normal (80s). This is happening more frequently. I have a joint replacement

Bladder problems and endometriosis
Hi ladies, I have recently been diagnosed with endometriosis after multiple hospital admissions over the last year. During this time I went into urinary retention and have had to have a suprapubic catheter inserted. Ive had it for 3 months now and they are not sure if the endo treatment will now help

Borderline folate and blood in urine - no follow up needed. Is this correct?
Hi all, I have recently presented with recurring UTI and microscopic blood in my urine. Blood test result came back with borderline folate, but no follow up with it. I still have the blood in my urine, which is not being investigated. Is this correct? I still have symptoms regarding tiredness and lethargy

after effects of PVC Ablation
My mom had pvc ablation 2 days ago and now complains of chest pain at about 7 and just feeling tired. She has a knot at the entry sure but it doesn't hurt. Should I be worried?

Feeling much better with Magnesium Citrate and an Anti-depressant.
After 45 years of suffering frequent PVC's I met a doctor who suggested magnesium citrate. I also dragged out the last report from my cardiologist who recommended an anti-depressant, advice which I had previously ignored. So I have been taking both for a few weeks now - 400 mg of Magnesium Citrate (not

I want to scratch my calves off! 😬 😱
The itching you get with liver disease, can it be localised or is it always all over? I could happily scratch my calves off, no amount of scratching takes the itch away! I've had this a while but is a lot worse lately. There's no rash or anything, it feels like it's under the skin and unitchable! Driving
