UTI infection
I assume this shows how my immune system is not working well now thanks to
prednisone
and Kevzara and that an infection is what will finish me off rather than the PMR. Also having a temporal biopsy tomorrow. So this is a rather anxiety-provoking week.

Possible Prednisone Allergy?
I'm wondering if I'm developing an allergy to
prednisone
? And if so, THEN WHAT??? What do people with GCA do if they cannot take
prednisone
? Thanks

5mg prednisone is working now, body feels like it has adapted to the lower dose
Does anyone think 5mg
prednisone
is helping my hands from getting worse? As in carpel tunnel? Is that an inflammatory thing? Trigger finger is tendons inflammation. I don't think 5 mg is a lot of
prednisone
. Sure it still has an effect on raising of blood sugar since I take insulin.

Dry cough and GCA
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/22451028/ My question is now, one and a half years into treatment and down to 3 mg
Prednisone
per day (no other meds), should I be concerned that this tickly dry cough comes back intermittently at night?

Pmr flare-up mainly just in legs
Was scheduled t o reduce my
prednisone
from 22.5 to 20 mg on June 27 but stayed at 22.5 as general opinion seemed that dropping 2.5 every 2 weeks may be too rapidly. Feeling good up t o yesterday with minor leg pain that would wear off in about an hour after getting up and taking my
prednisone

Sulfasalazine (SSX)
Rhemy has me reducing
prednisone
by 25 every 2 weeks. Only symptoms I have is a.m. stiffness that goes away after a trip to the bathroom. Alittle rt leg thigh pain like after a charlie horse wears off. Suggests that I should try ssz. I just want to keep going with
prednisone
for now.

PMR Update
The last Rheumatologist wanted me off the
prednisone
without taper to see how bad I can get so he can order yet another PET scan. Needless to say, I went to get a second opinion. Yes, this Rheumatologist stated I was to young to have PMR.

Heart Medicine Increased inhaled steroid absorption.
My muscles are already weaker from being on
prednisone
since 2015. And I am doing a slow taper. But I’ve had no trouble walking and my face was normal. I am tapering to 7 1/2 mg . Lo and behold there is a drug interaction between diltiazem and inhaled steroids.

Biphosphonates Questions
After almost 5 years and tapering VERY slowly got off of
prednisone
for about year when the GCA came back suddenly, but without PMR. Currently at 2mg
prednisone
from 60 , and Actemra every other week. Just tapered to 2 mg quickly (one year) maybe because I’ve had GCA before?

Confirmed to taper off
prednisone
at 1mg every 3 days and when I get to 5 mg to drop by 1mg every month. I have to say it's been almost 2 hrs since the injections and my shoulders feel much better.

Struggling to accept/deal with pain and decreased range of movement
Hi, I was encouraged by medics to wean off and stop
prednisone
after 2 yrs on them due to osteopenia and inflammatory markers "normal". I did so in July 23 I am trying to continue to work as a nurse and occasionally take one dose of 400 mg ibuprofen a day/night which works well.

What next? Is my man a candidate for Pluvicto?
He has now been on Abi &
Prednisone
for 2 weeks, although after failing Extandi a few years ago, it probably won't do much for too long. We are going down to consult with an oncologist in Santa Barbara to see if he qualifies for Pluvicto, and we have a consultation with our wonderful Dr.
