My dad just had his second injection of Lu-177. He is having lots of stomach pain and feeling really tired. The stomach hurts even when you touch it lightly. He is taking prednisone but it’s not helping with his energy levels. Has anyone had this side effect and is there anything he can take or do to help?
Thank you

I don't recall stomach pains specifically but othedr places got more painful before eventually subsiding. My fatigue is intense certain days but atypical in terms of timing. Are you drinking tons of water after infusion and for at least a week after? You need to get the LU 177 out of your body as fast as possible from where it is dong no good. Kidneys saliva glands etc attract the stuff and damage can be done. Also pain is not always felt where it originated. this is called referred pain. When I have a UTI from all this treatment and who knows what it feels like the tip of my penis is being cut with a razor but the pain is probably originating in my bladder ?
My husband has had 4 Pluvicto infusions so far. Nausea with the first treatment but minimal side effects since. I make him drink lots of water for the first week. His HGB, HCT and absolute neutrophils are now running almost dangerously low but he still exercises and isn’t having pain that can’t be managed with Tylenol, Ibuprofen and Tramadol at night. That said, his post-treatment scans are a mixed bag. Smaller lymph nodes but extensive bone mets. PSA down from 490’s to 98ish. I hope your husband feels better.
Just completed the 6th Pluvicto treatment at Duke Cancer Center. Fatigue and bone pain decreased with additional treatments. I drank plenty of water and ginger tea plus eating foods to help clean waste out of body.
Pluvicto kills cells which your filtering organs have to deal with, get these out by drinking water and eating foods that clean out your body.
