Excessive sweating

I'm noticing that I sweat alot more than ever since I started on prednisone. Sometimes even wsje ip in a sweat. Your other advice was spot on a b out keeping any physical activities to alittle at the time. About an hour during yard work etc. followed by a rest period seems to working great and getting no flare-ups.

I used to tell people I had been swimming as my hair was always soaking wet. It did improve though.

Me too! I sweated very little before taking Pred. except when really exerting myself or in exceptionally hot and humid climates. It's not too bad for me but just noticeably increased. I did read something about higher blood sugar potentially causing this but haven't had my blood sugar tested (yet).

Agree with Orange, might be a good idea to have your blood sugar checked, just as a precaution. Though I think that I suffered sweats when I first started on pred.

Hi there, I’m sorry to hear about your problem with perspiration while taking steroids. I can’t say that I’ve experienced that problem, after exercise or generally in all the years I’ve been taking steroids. We are all different and can react differently to them. Have you mentioned this to your Doctor or Rheumy? I hope you get some answers to help you with this. Good luck.
