Hospice Notes 12/27/21
Just a couple of recent update notes from Charles. A about a week ago, some of my more instense "guts" issues got somewhat better as we worked to "dial-in" a better combination of opiods for pain management vs. other things to keep my bowels from getting painfully clogged up. I'm grateful for those

Pretty Pee'd Off With Doctor
Done up like a kipper, I asked for something just to relax my muscles as when I was in hospital they gave me Lorazepam (tiny dose) and found it helped, I asked for something similar and he put me on Mirtazapine. When I looked it up it's a bloody Anti Depressant (which I cannot stand). So angry

2 migraines in 2 days and severe tinnitus
Typing this before my vision completely goes. I've had a couple of stressful days and had to take half a Lorazepam to help me sleep for 2 nights in a row which is very unlike me. Is it the Betahistine? Should I come off it? Is it exacerbating the migraines? So fed up 😔😔

Struggling
Just having a rough week. My anxiety is a little less severe, but depression is there too. I don't seem to feel better until the last few hours of the day. I'm growing weary. I left a message with my psychiatric nurse Friday. We increased my Lexapro 8 weeks ago. I don't think it's helped at all

Type 2 Diabetes?
Recently diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. Has anyone any advice on how to fit this in with PMR, Pacemaker and Kidney stone ? Spinal epidural last month failed to give any pain relief, and I am trying to manage with Diazepam.

Pregabalin **Update from previous post **
I will copy and paste previous post and update accordingly. Been suffering severe RLS for over two years since stopping pregabalin very abruptly in February 2020 (which I regret) for anxiety. Prior to that had adverse reaction to Lorazepam (January 2020). Was also on Mitazipine (stopped May 2020) and

Quetiapine withdrawal
I'm really struggling with anxiety. I was prescribed quetiapine, but it didn't help and I'm now weaning myself off it. I'm finding it extremely hard. I'm also on diazepam my psychiatrist had advised me to increase my dose of this to help with the withdrawal. Does anyone else have experience of this?

T getting considerably worse
Hi all. The last time I posted on here, I reported that having the Covid vaccine had improved my T considerably. Well now I'm due for my booster and guess what, my T has gotten a lot worse. I've noticed a considerable deterioration over the last 3 weeks. Last weekend, it was particularly bad with

Has anyone taken lorazepam and had side effects like agitation and increased anxiety along with the sedation?
I was on .5 mg of Klonopin, but my dr switched me to .5. mg 3 times daily of lorazepam. Do you think it’s too high a dose for me?

Home alone with AFib
I am a new to this forum as well as being new to dealing with AF. On this last trip to A&E, the cardiologist told me not to go to hospital unless the episode lasts more than 24 hours. As I am on my own due to the very recent sudden death of my husband, staying at home alone during what can be 12 hours

Anyone else been on diazepam?
Hey everyone As I posted a few days ago about being anxious I got signed off for three weeks sick and am taking diazepam 2mg to help me sleep each night. I've had two nights of decent sleep but I feel so rubbish the whole day after, drowsy, slow, uncoordinated and really can't be bothered to actually

Sedation for MRI
Are consultants justified in refusing heavy sedation for MRIs when patients are severely claustrophic? My neuro wants me to have a brain MRI but has only offered 4mg lorazepam as sedation. I know from previous experience of both MRIs and benzos, that this will do nothing to alleviate my terror of the

Levels of acceptable pain
After 2 years of taking prednisone with 2 different consultants and yoyoing around my latest consultant is trying to get me down to lower levels. I am currently tapering from 12.5 to 10 with 11.25 in between. Here in Spain the smallest tablet is 2.5mg so half is 1.25. I have once been at 5mg but after
