Has anyone taken lorazepam and had side effects like agitation and increased anxiety along with the sedation?

I was on .5 mg of Klonopin, but my dr switched me to .5. mg 3 times daily of lorazepam. Do you think it’s too high a dose for me?

I'm not a doctor, so can't prescribe or judge how a med might affect you. I'm suffering from depression and I think the meds I'm on give me anxiety (!), I'm taking Cymbalta, Wellbutrin and LexaPro. I think that's a lot! Also, my psych prescribed Ativan (Lorazepam) for me. He says to take .5 twice a day and another .5 if I think I need it.

I'm trying not to take the 3rd dose because I don't want to get habituated to it.

I ended going back to my original dose(.5mg) of Klonopin. I didn’t like how I felt with the change. Thank you for your reply.

My doctor prescribed lorazepam for me but he called them my “rescuers”.

I struggle with depression and anxiety and take Wellbutrin and amitriptyline.

Lorazepam can be addictive so I only use it if I absolutely need it. But if your doctor feels that’s what’s best for you; we are two different people! But don’t ever do something you’re not completely comfortable with. Talk to your doctor about it if it’s worrying you.

I’ve never felt agitated or more anxious because of them though.
