Life after TURP
A subsequent 24 hour monitor showed the condition was not serious but I now take
Pradaxa
, an anti coagulant, and have an appointment with cardiologist next week. I had a meeting with my urologist earlier this month.

Pradaxa or otherwise known as dibagatran
Have been on this for over five years. Two tablets, one in the morning and the other late at night. Initially gave me a lot of wind, but now the body has got used to it and that problem has gone away. Suggest keep fluid levels well up. The only other side affect is weight gain, which I understand from

Racing heart due Covid vaccine
The Doctor gave me some injection and some medicine like
pradaxa
110 mg and concor 2.5 mg as morning and evening. Again 10 days back I took 2nd dose, but since the astrazeneca was not available so I was provided with pfizer stating it has no side affect.

Edoxaban (Savaysa) gastrointestinal and other side effects
I have researched information about other blood thinners and noticed that
Pradaxa
has many side effects as well. My question is about Edoxaban (Savaysa). It seems it does not have any gastrointestinal side effects, such as diarrhea, although I believe I found a mention of a few having stomach pain.

Researchers find 10-minute add-on heart surgery cuts stroke risk by one-third
The randomized trial is expected to collect at least two years of data on non-vitamin K antagonist oral anticoagulants, or NOACs, such as the blockbuster drugs Eliquis, Xarelto and
Pradaxa
, among patients with atrial fibrillation.

So they’ve put me on
pradaxa
now ... read the leaflet and it say you shouldn’t take it if you have a stomach ulcer... I told them I have gastritis ... which leads to ulcers. I’ve left a message for rheumy/gp now. Fed up and worried that I may have heart problems now 🙄 seriously had enough.

Should I go for second ablation?
He put in on
pradaxa
and Cordorone and continued after the procedure. The healing period was quite a difficult experience . I experience Afib , fatigue and short of breath for a couple of months. However improvement was felt as months passed.

Painful, cold knees and legs...
I've been on dabigatran/
pradaxa
for 18 months and would of thought I'm over side effects - they were bad in the beginning, but soon went. I've a history of Afib, sick sinus syndrome and had a pacemaker in May 2020.

Does Xarelto cause an increase in heart rate?
My cardiologist switched my anticoagulant a week ago from
Pradaxa
to Xarelto. The day after I started, my heart rate increased from around 60-70 to 90-100.

Nervous and scared about this whole AF thing
I’m already increased to the highest dose of flecainide (150mg twice a day) & I take a beta blocker &
Pradaxa
. My EP said that “theoretically” I could probably have the Flecainide dose increased to stay in good control if need be.

Problems with taking blood thinners
She has now put me onto
Pradaxa
and also Panadeine Forte (1/2 tablet) at night to help me sleep. Last night I slept until 3 am but since then have had the same terrible pains and aches, although I don't feel like I am floating as I did on Eliquis. But I feel like my quality of life has gone.

The Haemothromb Test®
I currently take
Pradaxa
as the anticoagulant but am considering returning to warfarin. I was researching INR self testing machines when I came across this INR test - The Haemothromb Test®. I will investigate it further especially as I understand it was created by a Hungarian.
