Pradaxa

I am staying on Amiodarone and Pradaxa for the time being. For those of you that do have Afib it does show that one can eradicate it with the right treatment and I guess a big handful of luck.

I would like to know from your experience if taking anticoagulant like Pradaxa or Apixaban will make healing of wounds or ulcers last longer? Have anyone of you experienced this? Thanks.

I take Elequis and was also formerly on Pradaxa (dabigatran). Both are excellent drugs with no side effects and little monitoring. I will be taking this twice daily for lifetime now, as my AFib is permanent.

I’m on pradaxa ... dabigatran so every 12 months.

Nobody seems to mention pradaxa why would this be is it not efficient or causes problems I have been on this because of a f for a long time few bouts of indigestion but no other problems believe also there is an antidote

I’m thinking bisoprolol, artovastatin and Pradaxa anticoagulant.

Am on Pradaxa for life though. Will Take out a good travel insurance for wife and myself. However I am concerned that the heat over there may cause a relapse. Am I worrying about nothing or am I right to be concerned.

Does anyone know what the outer container of the capsules (pradaxa, ramapril etc) is made of. They look plasticy but obviously can't be. Just I've consumed so many over the years......they're coloured as well, wish they were just white tablets.

I want to know if the CoaguChek Coagulation Meter can be used for people who take Pradaxa. Or is it just for Warfarin patients? I understand Warfarin changes the way the liver adjust blood coagulation and the other anticoagulants do not.

I hope it was a one-off, see the cardiologist on Monday to talk about ajusting medicine currently on 50 mg metoprolol, 2x80mg Diovan and Pradaxa. He wants me on concorn2.5 but alone the side effects sound scary. Reckon I will be reasoning to change his mind.

Interesting that the anticoagulant drug Dabigatran (PRADAXA) is getting press for the recent mice study which showed little to no memory loss in ALZ mice over a 12 month study period.

An 80-year-old man who had been taking dabigatran (Pradaxa) for atrial fibrillation started taking a solution of cinnamon and ginger. Three days later he was vomiting blood and his stool was black with blood. The doctors were unable to control his intestinal bleeding and he died.

Have pradaxa for that and was on maximum metoprolol before that. Not going to bore you with the numerous illnesses, conditions, surgeries and genetic problems I have had in my 68 years except to say choose your parents wisely.

How often should I have my kidneys and liver checked when taking Pradaxa?

I’m on bisoprolol 10 mg per day, also pradaxa. I don’t feel I’ll, but weary, but nothing serious. Thankyou.

Just today I read a post that says there is no Antidote for Pradaxa but doing more Research, I found out that there is. That lessened my worry a bit about taking it.

My GP rang this morning re my Pradaxa ( dabigatran ) medication. Hitherto I have had my kidney function tested annually via a blood sample. Dr Potter tells me that the new instruction is that it should now be tested every 6 months. This apparently refers to all NOACs.

I would like to thank everyone who replied to my post about an extra dose of pradaxa. The replies were very helpful.

I am on pradaxa what should you do if you take an extra dose of it. I have not taken one yet just curious.
