6 weeks post Covid - thyroid symptoms exacerbated
Hi all, Can I just ask do we think Covid effects the thyroid? I have hashimotos and take T4 and T3 (along with high dose vitamin D, B vitamins and spatone). I was super active before Covid but six weeks on from what was a mild infection I’m struggling with horrible fatigue, sore throats and aching -

Can taking antibiotics permanently worsen tinnitus?
My doctor has prescribed me trimethoprim for UTI. Is taking antibiotics generally safe for tinnitus or do I need to seek alternatives?

Slight rise in thyroid antibody
I’ve had lots of weird symptoms seen a number of consultants still no proper diagnosis. I have positive family history for hypothyroidism but my results just bump along borderline low t3 tsh that ranges from 3 to 4.5. I did a trial of levothyroxine but made me feel very unwell. I have got nodules on

RH Negative Blood Type and B12 Deficiency
This study https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4619848/ seems to say individuals with Rh negative blood types are more likely to have vitamin B deficiencies. Read the paragraph under Table 1. I have negative blood type. I wonder how many members on this site also have negative blood types

Blood results and Hashimoto's
My latest results: TPO came out at 253; Serum TSH level 5.75; Serum free T3 level 4.4; Serum free T4 15.7 I would be glad of advice interpreting these results. I have been told I have Hashimoto's. I have all the symptoms: coldness, fatigue, constipation, brain fog, hair loss etc. I have also put

Re-testing active B12 levels
I am planning to re-test my active B12 levels. In October 2021, my active B12 was 77.1 pmol/L (37.5-188), so on the low side. My folate was at the top of the range and ferritin high. Since the last test I have been taking a B12 supplement, and I just want some advice about whether I should stop the supplement

Severe constant pelvic pain
I’m in so much pain and the doctors can’t seem to diagnose it. 5 weeks ago I had painful urination and I was given antibiotics. But a couple of weeks later it progressed to severe pelvic pain, I have lower abdominal aches, dark cloudy urine that smells strong. For the past 2 days I’ve been getting chills

Test results
Hey everyone, I received my test results today from Thriva and I’m just curious whether I should come down on my vitamin D like to dr said and also find a way to get less B12 as she said it’s too high but still be able to get folate as that’s normally low. Any suggestions would be great. Just to clarify

Paraneoplastic disorder associated with MF
I was diagnosed with MF last year and from around that time I've suffered tingling which has spread from my extremities to most of my body. In case it was made worse by ruxolitinib, I've paused that but the tingling has continued. I've had most of the other tests to make sure it is not due to vitamin

Vitamin B and stents

More on bone pain
I realize there was a discussion on bone pain a few days ago but can’t find it. My apologies. I have unrelenting, often intolerable bone pain that has ruined my life. I have been chalking it up to vitamin D deficiency. I am vitamin D resistant and treatment is not raising my D level. I do not tolerate

Low B12 and Elevated homocysteine (Hcy) Associated with Brain Atrophy, Cognitive Decline.
I would like to hear the experiences of others with PA regarding lingering cognitive issues and also share some of the links and reports I found during my research on this topic. Just before I was diagnosed with PA I had most all the associated neurological symptoms, lack of balance, could hardly walk

Now I'm worried
Morning I have been struggling since Nov 2021 with brain fog, fatigue, dreadful short term memory and awful bone/joint pain in shins/knees to the point I have to take pain killers which I hate. I had my bloods done on 24/2/22 at 9.30am, fasting and last dose 12 hours prior (it may have been a bit longer
