Tequila!!! For your health and longevity?
Yesterday I had a interesting conversation with spider 54 and one of the topics we talked about was tequila.I am not advocating for anyone to start drinking alcohol spirits but if you do consume them I think it is a no-brainer to switch to Tequila. Tequila is made from the blue agave plant which is

Fatty Liver disease and Triglyceride levels
Is it common place for people with fatty liver disease to have elevated triglyceride levels? Would you expect triglyceride levels to correlate with a fibroscan CAP score? There's also a particular type of cholesterol associated with the liver called VLDL: Is this a test that an NHS GP can do or is

Same medicine, different brand?
Good evening. I take a calcium channel blocker called Vera-Til SR 120mg, also known as Verapamil however, this particular brand is currently out of stock and I have been given an alternative which is Half Securon SR. My GP has advised that I always stick to one brand (Vera-Til SR) and the pharmacist

VLDL results - confusing
For the last five years or so, I’ve had slightly high cholesterol , e.g. 5.7 mmol/l total, 3.4 LDL but good 1.9 HDL, 0.9 triglycerides and total/HDL ratio of 3. I get tested once a year or so. I’m not overweight and am active, etc., but I do want to bring that LDL down and made a few changes such as

Newbie with PV and questions!
I'm 50 and was told I have
Polycythaemia
Vera
last week. Probably like many of you on here, I ended up getting diagnosed with PV as a coincidence. I complained at my GP about persistent and worsening hip pain when walking.
