Which doctor should I ask?
I’ve been having a series of heath things that are seriously impinging on my QoL. My PC story - Gleason 9/Stage IV, spread to lymph nodes. EBRT last April. On Orgovyx + Abiraterone/Prednisone. I just got back from a moderate walk in the neighborhood (like 3.5 miles), something I used to do regularly

Doctors.... blood tests..... need I say more??
I have Hashis, Addisons and a slew of other things.... my old consultant (private not NHS) often called me a modern medical mystery! I have Addisons (PAI) but about 2 years after my diagnosis I had to have steroid injections in my spine- caused my BP to rise to dangerous levels and it's never come down

COVID booster
I got the updated COVID booster last Wednesday and had several days of side effects. But I am here to say that I’m through the woods and feel tip top now. Well, as tip top as MS lets me feel anyway! I vaccinate and still mask of course for added self protection, but also to protect those that may be

Covid and a Second Round of Paxlovid
I have CLL that became active along with Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (AIHA) in 2020. I was treated and went into remission. This spring I again had AIHA and was treated with Prednisone for about 4 months, ending the first part of July. 16 Days ago I contracted Covid for the first time and was treated

PD: the gut, covid, etc.
Good afternoon, I was diagnosed with PD by DatScan 3 weeks ago (age 50). As I'm sure is standard at this stage in my diagnosis, I am trying to navigate my way through the wealth of information out there. I am fluctuating between self-pity, defiant positivity, and utter bewilderment. I’m so very grateful

Aspergillus fumigatus
Both my wide and self have recently had Covid. symptoms seem to be dragging on and wife`s doctor told her to get a sputum test done. Finally after 2 weeks the results have arrived and she has Aspergillus fumigatus, a fungal infection in her lungs. Does anyone, with bronchiectais have any experience

Endo recommendation Tunbridge Wells
Hi everyone. My first post for many years so I’m now very out of date on everything as I’ve been happily ticking along for ages taking a combination of thyroxine and T3 and keeping my TSH levels quite low. I’ve recently been referred back to endo to confirm the T3 prescription and for some adrenal

Flu and Covid jabs
My GP has invited me to have a flu and Covid vaccination. I suspect that this is due to me being registered as B12 deficient with PA as I’m not usually entitled to those jabs on the NHS each year at my age. I currently SI B12 EOD and take recommended cofactors. Are there any thoughts on having

Trigeminal and Restless legs
As I posted before some months ago, I had some electric shock-like, sharp pains in my left temple. With a similar sensation if I touched that area. I feared the worst (GCA), and upped my dose and within 24 hours had had a biopsy, as you know, which revealed nothing. I was reassured. Since then I have

Beauty Cutie
Hello everybodySorry that 'cutie pics' has been away this month but it had covid and had to rest. Luckily, it was a mild flu-like illness but as always for us it ramps up the aches and fatigue doesn't it?. Very grateful for the vaccines making it a milder illness as i'd always dreaded getting it!. So

Covid Again - Watch this Space - Summary
Well here we are 27 days since my original post, having 2 x Negative tests in a row. Here are the summary points of what I have learnt. 1/ You can get through if immune suppressed it but it’s a long journey. And a lot will depend on your Viral Load. I personally don’t think mine was very high because

Our Journey
So my beautiful wife and companion for over 30yrs has decided that she needs some time in a hospice, she began this journey with Symptoms in 2019 but we didn't get to see a Neurologist who knew what he was talking about until 2023 as the initial one in 2019 said she had Fybromyalgia and stress/tiredness

Persistent Symptoms
Hi all, First time posting but looking for some help as really struggling to find anything that works. For almost 2 years now I have been struggling with gut issues. It’s not clear how and why it started, but I have two theories; 1) It is a reaction to having a strong antibiotic to clear up a fungal

FDA Could Soon Limit Use of Only Drug for COVID Prevention - i.e.,Pemivibart may have reduced activity against growing variant KP.3.1.1
As an update to several earlier posts about the use of Pemivibart for COVID. It seems the FDA is about to limit its use to only as a pre-exposure prophylaxis agent for COVID-19 in immunocompromised patients. Here is the MedPage article dated August 27, 2024 in full: * * * [i]MedPage Today - Infectious
