MO recommendations at Mayo, Moffitt?
Hello - After 7 months of ADT (Lupron/abi) my MOs are not offering anything but continuation until my PSA fails, so I'd like to network more; so please let me know whom you think are the best at these two places. Thanks in advance.

Which Estrogen Patch dose to use?
This plot shows the median serum estrogen (E2) concentration (in pg/mL) versus total Weekly Estrogen patch dose (mg/wk) from five different references ranging from 2000 to 2019. The data set from Smith et. al (2019) is for castrate-resistant prostate cancer men (CRPC), who are not taking ADT. Overall

Advice on hormonal treatment?
hi all, 10 days post-lap here. Unfortunately ended up losing my left ovary and tube - had 4 endometriomas on it, 1 of which was 8cm, and this was all adhered to my rectum. So the surgeon said it needed to come out. I’m waiting for a post-op appointment but the consultant said the endo will likely come

Newbie - Is this Normal? Should I have Treatment?
Good morning! I'm a newbie here and i'm just unsure as to whether I should accept what my GP is telling me and put up with it or go private. A bit of history - I'm 46, female, overall good health historically but diagnosed with Premature Ovarian Deficiency (Early menopause) in my early thirties.

None of my family message me.
I deleted Facebook around a year ago, and after that I have felt very isolated. During that period of time there has been a lot of introspection and I have noticed that I never receive messages from family members. It is always me sending messages. And then they often stop responding even if I am

Question in Preparation for pBAT
For those who have experience with BAT: I’m getting ready to start my first 30 day cycle of pBAT this week. But I have a concern about my high SHBG (sex hormone binding globulin) level, which is 79 nmol/L. With Eligard ADT in the background, my pBAT program calls for 8 injections of T propionate

Similar question to Ezzedine. PSA rising
March 19 I was diagnosed with Gleason 9 prostate cancer. PSA was 0.9 (it turns out I have a non secreting prostate. I had 37 sessions of EBRT and 3 years zoladex. Whilst under ADT and for 1 year after ADT conclusion my PSA was 0.01 (indecipherable) Then a year ago my PSA was 0.02, then 0.03 and last

Very confused and don't know what to do to help my body heal
Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum and up to 6 weeks ago the only digestive concerns I had was Coeliac Disease and a sliding hiatal hernia which was discovered at my endoscopy 4 years ago. The hernia hasn't given me any bother up to this point except for the occasional bout of acid reflux every couple

Greater use of Benlysta, Saphnelo seen in US, EU to treat lupus
Goal to reduce long-term glucocorticoids use to prevent side effects
In both the U.S. and Europe, clinicians want to limit treatment with glucocorticoids — steroid hormones whose long-term use for autoimmune diseases is tied to serious side effects — among people with moderate to severe lupus

RT with ADT Relogolix (Orgovyx) vs Enzalutamide (Xtandi) Side Effect Differences?
There may not be a lot of people that can offer anecdotal reports on both as monotherapies but the reason I ask is some studies in the last 3 years are showing administration of Xtandi during Radiotherapy has shown outcomes as good as if not better than RT + ADT. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science

hi, I’ve now been on Levothyroxine 25 since last June. None of my symptoms have changed. GP has just increased it to 50 and said to retest in 8 weeks. I have been asking for increase for quite a while as my level was still in the upper range of normal last test I had in October . My levels had been

Is there such a thing as too fast of a recovery of T on iADT 🫨
After 2 years of ADT, I decided against continuing on that for life and to initiate iADT. Otherwise known as "taking a vacation".I am now 10 weeks without ADT, and my testosterone is already at 104. My questions this time are for others here who have had a similarly quick return of testosterone. I

How many estrogen patches should I use?
I had a nice breakthrough today. 😀 I collected all of the available data on the number of estrogen patches that the studies have used, and plotted the measured serum estradiol level versus total milligrams of estrogen used every week. I was pleasantly surprised when all five of the data points

Selenium Supplementation in Patients with Hashimoto Thyroiditis
I found this paper and thought I'll share. This is for patients with hashis, who are not yet on thyroid hormone replacement. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/38243784/

HRT FET - Day of transfer?
Hi everyone and thanks for the lovely support in this group - it’s been a comfort reading all the previous posts. I’m doing my first HRT FET, and just wondering around what day of the cycle people’s transfers were? My plan says to take oestrogen from day 1, then have a scan on day 8, and that’s it

PSA vs Testosterone plot has large scatter, but still confirms Morgentaler's Saturation Model.
Here are two plots comparing PSA values to Testosterone levels taken from a pair of large data sets. What is striking is the large amount of scatter in the individual data from both datasets, with factors of 2-6 X deviations from the average (or median) values. The upper plot has N = 255 data points

Treatment Resistant Depressant
I have had depression since my 20’s and likely in teens. I’m now 56 and my meds are no longer working like they once did. I’m going to be meeting with a clinic about other options ie: ECT etc. I’m very scared and anxious as this feels next level to me in my illness. Have you tried ECT and/or Esketamine
