Too tired to think.
I have been doing so much studying about this diagnosis and dealing with the pain in my body and head. I was started on 50mg of prednisone 3 days ago and it is finally beginning to help. My biopsy for GCA is in the morning and I am somewhat apprehensive tonight. I haven't slept only an hour or two in

I am in permanent a-fib. I am trying to find help for the breathlessness it causes. I have had 3 cardioversions - they didn't work - one lasted 2 days. I am on metropolol, losartan, lipitor, xarelto, lasix, klor con and tikosyn. I am too old for an ablation procedure - 85-year-old female. Any suggestions

My advice in this situation, when aspirin (and/or
Plavix
) have failed, is to consider a three week course of heparin – a daily injection of course, but very safe and frequently providing very useful information. Some weeks later I received a follow-up email from the doctor.

Why are my hands and feet swelling?
I am having almost identical symptoms and it is wonderful to have them validated! For nearly 15 years I have suffered with severe fatigue and body rashes. Not one physician has ever appeared concerned, even though the swelling in one leg is severe and has been with me 15 years, despite a daily dose

Newly Diagnosed
I'm now being treated with
Plavix
& Warfarin! Unfortunately I also have Polycythemia Vera, which is also a very rare disease! I have too much blood which is also thick that they call my blood sludge! So I have Sludgy & Sticky Blood! It's all the other parts of the blood from APS!

APS on Plavix...should I switch to Coumdin
I had a stomach bleed and had to be taken off the
Plavix
and placed on aggrenox for it to heal. Recently during a cerebral angiogram an artery was damaged during the procedure. They put me back on
Plavix
immediately but asked me to stop the Nexium for my stomach.

Stent put in place
I am on
Plavix
and ramopril and aspirin daily. I quit smoking before I had the stent put in and I'm trying to follow a cardiac diet. The problem now that I am having is that I feel more tired now then I did before the stent. My energy level is lower I'm having a hard time staying awake.

Increased medication- what do you think?
Yesterday my doctor increased my medication which I thought may happen. Since my most recent major depressive episode has been trying different things. I personally don't know anyone taking medications other than me. Although I am sure there must be also other people I see everyday at work or whatnot
