2 Q's: Elavil and Food Intolerance
Hello all, I have two questions, not related to one another. First, I have been on Elovil (amitriptyline) for over a month for pelvic pain and PP related depression. I am still no where near adapted to it in regards to sleep. I am incapable of waking up unless I have 11-12 hours of sleep. Even then

Swelling of legs
I am taking 180mg Diltiazem twice a day. Seems like it's keeping my heart rate in 70's and my BP is fine - I do have quite a lot of swelling in my ankles and legs. I am 86 and also have diabetes but I am very tall and thin. I also use a BiPap when I sleep. I've been taking 10mg Lasix and my dr just

86 with A-fib, next step?
Hi I am 86 and was diagnosed with SVT in Jan 2017 - my heart rate was 150. Then I was told I was a-flutter/a-fib. I was over medicated (metroprolo, digoxin and Diltiazem) and my rate came way down. I was told I needed a pacemaker, then I was put on Diltiazem only - which wasn't enough and my heart rate

It's been a journey
Hi I'm new. But not new to fibromyalgia. Diagnosed 15 years ago. Now diagnosed with osteoarthritis pretty much everywhere. Greatest challenge besides the obvious has been medications. Lyrica? I'm allergic. Cymbalta? Makes me bitchy. Elavil? Made me gain 15 lbs which makes pain worse. Gabapentin? Makes

Acupoints Massage Therapy For PPMS
For years I tried to reach out for PPMS patients like me. Since 1995, I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and IBS. In year 2000, I was confirmed with Spinal Cord MS. Injections and oral medications (except Elavil) did not slow down my progression. In 2011, I was in the hospital and came home in wheelchair

Afib and congestive heart failure
Hello - I write about my mother who is 90 yrs. old with afib and recently diagnosed with chf. She was on 10 mgs. of Lasix 2 x a day, but her edema and congestion in her lungs increased and she was very short of breath - especially at night and she had to sit in her recliner to get her breath back.

New here and not feeling very well.
Hi, everyone. I'm a 37 year old mother of two who works full time outside of the house. I've dealt with depression since I was 22 years old. For a long time, I had minimal symptoms on 20 mg. of Lexapro. My stress level has increased significantly over the past 2-3 years. I recently was hospitalized
