Asthma & anxiety

Was given elavil for my anxiety and read it worsens asthma. Has anyone had this problem?

I was on sertraline for anxiety and it seemed to make my athsma worse it's a vicious circle I'm afraid. I stopped the sertraline and am now constantly fighting anxiety.

I can't seem to come to a happy medium with all the med changing

Exactly how I feel...it makes you more anxious.

Can't you talk to your asthma doctor about this?I am trying to cope with anxiety too so I can relate.. feel very frustrated as not getting much help...just been told to take a sleeping tab at night.

Asthma doctor says he doesn't prescribe sleeping pills

Hi vhariford I still suffer with anxiety but not as bad as I used to I used to have floxidine 20mg find them very good I just take multi vitamins now and have cut down on the caffeine as to much of that can be bad x

I take fluoxetine 20mg/Xanax when needed. Drink 2-3 cups of coffee a day which calms me.

Unfortunately Xanax did not agree with me at all.
