Does taking plaquenil affect blood test results?
If I start
plaquenil
before I have my bloods done again (Prof K said he wants to re-run the lupus tests etc), will it affect the results?

What are the options for joint and muscle pain?
All I know about
plaquenil
is that my sister's on it (she has sjogrens) and it hasn't really helped her (yet? I know it takes a while to kick in).

Bizarre!!
I have been well controlled on
plaquenil
for 6mts but never symptom free. Then in Jan my old surgery scars broke down and I had to have emergency surgery for five hernias- ill for three weeks- drips no food or RA meds as I couldn't eat.

Total meltdown
Can't take
plaquenil
because I'm very allergic but take Mepacrine instead, but wondering if after 11yrs it is losing its effect. My doctor suggested I may have depression but I don't think I have although am wavering over his suggestion of CBT to help me cope day to day..

Every day is a struggle with Hypothyroidism.
I take
Plaquenil
200mg. I have been taking it for a good 10 years. 4 years ago I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. I take Levothyroxine 125mg. It took two years for my blood tests to normalise. However I have not felt any better since I was diagnosed.

Plaquenil experiences?
Hello, I was prescribed
Plaquenil
a few years back before I had kids and I was reluctance to take medication before having kids or during pregnancy and breast feeding so I didn't take it for long. Now that my joint pain is getting more constant I am considering taking it again.

How long does a steroid injection take to work?
I have also started taking
Plaquenil
a week tomorrow and I'm now experiencing hot flushes. This morning I was still in a lot of pain. Is this normal? Thanks Roz

Good results with plaquenil / Minocin combination
So we are wondering if anyone else has tried
Plaquenil
and/or Minocin therapy and what has been the response? I hear
Plaquenil
is not very accessible in other countries(?)

Plaquenil battle won :)
So armed with the info I have got the GPs to write
Plaquenil
on the script and my repeat so nobody can alter it again, hopefully!

No firm diagnosis but I don't really mind
When I asked about the butterfly rash on my face (which incidentally has been much better after 7/8 months on
Plaquenil
), she again brushed this aside with a comment, "It's not Lupus just a Lupus type rash"!!!??? She then suggested I stop taking
Plaquenil
"to see if it came back".

Plaquenil should my script be Plaquenil?
I am to try
plaquenil
again and GP is happy. My script said hydroxychloroquine which is right but the pills I have been given say quinoric. I was expecting
plaquenil
I am not really keen to have a brand and not the pure form Am I wrong?
