Plaquenil contains the active ingredient Hydroxychloroquine and is the name used by the manufacturers. It is not the only type of Hydroxychloroquine available. Quinoric also has the active ingredient Hydroxychloroquine, but it has different fillers, which many lupus patients find disagree with them.
Thats interesting as I do find that hydroxy effects my stomach and bowel, thank you.
Yes I had big probs with quinoric because of the fillers and requested to be put back on the plaquenil now all ok.
Yes, I had same problem with Quinoric and am now back on good old Plaquenil.
I asked to go back on Plaquenil as had been getting an upset tummy with Quinoric, There is a small price difference. Pharmacist has been unable to get P. through suppliers in W. Cumbria, although they specify which form they want. GP has also been specific but had no luck
Hi plaq... Makes me very sleepy so cant take second doze during the day.. Only at nite..xx Uzi.
