Anyone given a short sharp oral prednisolone taper for persistent rash on feet/legs?
I have been on
plaquenil
400mg daily for 2 years, and not had rashes in these areas during that time.

Does anyone take Plaquenil to treat lupus anticoagulant?
Just met with my rheumy to discuss first round of positive testing for lupus anticoag - he drew more blood today but seems to think this will be postive as well - suggested hydroxychloroquine (
plaquenil
) to help think blood and reduce inflammation if the second round of testing is also positive.

Hydroxychloroquine / Plaquenil (HCQ)– retinal damage
Latest research (2016) on eye tests for Hydroxychloriquine retinal toxicity. Note that the tests not recommended only identify the damage when it is too late and irreversible. Please ensure when you are getting an eye test that the proper tests are done to identify early onset before too much retinal

Adverse reaction to Hydroxychloroquine
Anyone who has not been able to tolerate Hydroxy (and yes, I know others can tolerate
Plaquenil
and not the generic so I'll mention that to GP) - how long did it take you to get back to your kind of 'normal' after your reaction. What alternative medication if any did you then try? Thanks!

Any men taking plaquenil?
Inevitably I have seen many reviews of ladies taking
plaquenil
with some good and some not so good results. However are there any men (or does anyone know any men)taking or that have taken
plaquenil
and if so with what results with respect to fatigue relief and /or pain relief?

Sjogren's Hydroxy and Glaucoma confused about the tests I have!
BUT she said they(in this unit) were not testing for potential toxicity from
plaquenil
, there were better tests for that??? or looking at the red eye problem, only glaucoma.

Baseline eye screen and plaquenil
I will be starting
plaquenil
next week. I understand that it is recommended that a baseline retinal screen is carried out before treatment starts. Is this correct and what do I need to do to arrange this?

Is lupus something we need to 'beat'?
Three months later I had a diagnosis; I had an ANA of 1:360, was ds-dna + and ro +, I started seeing a Rheumatologist who put me on 200mg
Plaquenil
and also began dealing with the aftermath of diagnosis...

My rhuematologist believes that there is very little chance that the
Plaquenil
will harm my son, but i am still nervous. Can anyone tell me their experiences? Thank you Mem

Plaquenil and quinoric
She said she just orders hydroxichloriquin and either might come in, but she will ask specifically for
plaquenil
as I asked. She is lovely, but only did it I am sure because the costs were the same.

Mycophenolate and infections
I'm terrified of adding another drug to my
Plaquenil
but I keep taking short courses of steroids and my lupus doesn't seem to settle. So my rheumatologist believes myco is better than steroids in the long term. But I'm anxious about it, as we all are when starting new drugs.

Limited mobility/tendon issues. . . am I alone?
The
plaquenil
helped me not have that nagging horrible pain daily, but I was taken off it due to anemia. I have since injured my knee and have had an orthopedic surgeon tell me it's tendonitis, while my physical therapist thinks it's a torn meniscus.

Jobs worth GP strikes again, I'm so mad
My worry is with positive bloods he is at risk and the GP sees no problem in him having nothing except loads of sumatriptan for daily migraine and the
plaquenil
. I can't think which way to turn now as even having the best consultant on side we are stuck. Rant over.

Is anyone on this regime?
Gabapentin,
Plaquenil
. Losec. Lexapro. Prednisone. Micardis. Ostilin..ferra-grad C. Codeine Phosphate. If you know of this combination or parts of it, does it go up and up, or does it plateau. Is there any remission with Systemic Vasculitis? Any help would be warmly welcomed.

Prickly skin starting plaquenil??
I've been on
plaquenil
3 days, prescribed by Prof K. Since starting it, I've had rally prickly skin, especially towards the end of the day. Now I realise it's not necessarily the
plaquenil
(it could be that I'm on a little too much thyroxine, for example).
