Have I made a mistake
I posted last weekend about having lower back pain and being sick after taking my pred. Apologies for the long post. The pain in my lower back and side has continued and moved down the front of my leg which is numb. I saw the GP who said I had a trapped nerve to take painkillers and if no better

Managing Pudendal Neuralgia pain
Hi all, I joined this forum to remain on top of developments around the complex pelvic floor issues affecting women and to seek support from others. In my experience these are generally poorly understood by doctors in the UK especially at consultant level and there is an absence of multi agency support

Could this be PMR?
Hi there. I have been lurking in the background for a while. I have OA and in fact had both hips replaced-2014 and 2021 to great effect!! However for the past 2 years or so I have had various rounds of physio to try and resolve a stiff neck and sciatic pain. No real relief and Ibruprofen doesn’t help

ROWING: Trying out some new immersive tech - EXR
As I was pretty much unable to run over the last four weeks, due to reoccurring calf strains, my rowing took on centre stage again. So I did gave myself the luxury of subscribing for six months to an immersive rowing app for my indoor rows. It’s called EXR and it’s running on the Apple TV I had put

pectoralis major discomfort ??
Hi, For a few months before I was diagnosed with PMR I had discomfort across my upper chest. I attributed it to everything from poor posture to muscle strain even though I felt I had done nothing to aggravate it. It lasted several months , went to a physio thinking it would help and I did the recommended

Friday update
Ralphs had a really good week , even though it was BH. Physio are pleased with him and say he can walk up and down the ward corridor without a nurse with him as long as he asks if it's okay each time. Had his cuff down and hour a day, and today SALT took it down at 11 this morning and stayed and played

Follow up to pelvic floor injections
Hi, everyone. I appreciate all your support and prayers so much. Yesterday it was two weeks since my injections, and I have noticed some improvement in my pain. There have been days when I was able to avoid taking anything for pain until evening, which is unusual, and some nights when I haven't found

Further developments in the 'back muscle strain' saga
Last October when changing bed sheets, I injured my back. Went to A & E in excruciating pain and they sent me off with a single dose of morphine deciding it was a muscle strain. It limited movement so much I was stuck in the chair for weeks, still complaining to GP about pain. They referred me to a

GP has suggested an increase in prednisone
As I had requested this it seems that the GP is willing to give it a try., Am up now to 15mg from 10mg. Been on now for 6 days cannot say much improvement as yet. To be honest, I am however not in a great amount of pain but heavily limping towards the bad right leg and flat footed when walking Just

Packing for holidays as a runner…
We’re away for a few days and the thing I’m most excited about is some holiday runs on the Gower peninsula. It struck me as I was packing that what I now take with me has changed quite a bit since I started running. Before I packed anything else, sort out the run kit. First dilemma: how many pairs
