Follow up to pelvic floor injections

Hi, everyone. I appreciate all your support and prayers so much. Yesterday it was two weeks since my injections, and I have noticed some improvement in my pain. There have been days when I was able to avoid taking anything for pain until evening, which is unusual, and some nights when I haven't found myself clinging to my heating pad for dear life. I still have pain, which especially bothers me when bending over to empty the dishwasher, or to spray the danged bugs that have infested my beautiful tomato plants (thank God they are in large pots, so I don'thave to bend as far). This makes me worry that I still may not be able to tolerate physical therapy to help me walk farther without getting that agonizing pain afterwards. But I will take any improvement. Thank you all again!

I'm happy to hear you're seeing improvements.😀

Even a little improvement is better than none! Maybe it's just slow going, and the injections will kick in more with time. Did your doctor say how long it would be to see improvements? If you don't see any additional improvement, will you have another round of injections?

I didn't ask how long because when I have them in my neck, and it usually took a week or two. A couple of clinics on the internet that do it said 3-7 days, and I did not see any results in that time period. And with my neck, I get it every three months, but it could last longer, so over time, it had sort of a cumulative effect. I have no idea about in this area, though. I would probably have it again, even with less than dramatic results, as long as there's a chance it would help. I go back to see the doctor in a month, so we'll see what she has to say. Before the injections she said "We at least like to see something. " So it doesn't sound like you need dramatic results to qualify, which is somewhat reassuring at this point.

I hope the injections have a cumulative effect and you get a more dramatic decrease in pain. I’m glad to hear that they helped a little, anyway. May God bless you and may you find the best solution for treating your pain.

I am really happy to report that a couple of weeks ago, I started noticing a big improvement in my pain! I still have a lot of pain when using those muscles, but in general I am so much more comfortable. 😁 Taking fewer meds and not hanging on to my heating pad with white knuckles has been amazing! It took a month to really kick in, but it was really effective, and I'm so glad that I got the injections!
