Back again Start from the beginning ??
Hi, I got to week 7 when I did C25K a couple of years back. I stopped due to a few niggly injuries followed by a recurrence of a back injury which has taken 2 operations, weekly physio and lots of pain, but I’m in a good place finally. Have been doing non- impact cardio (cycling, swimming) for 6

Update from Norwich - Sub Chondral Insufficiency Fracture
I was about to do a general update just to encourage people on the PMR journey as I think it helps to compare. So I will start with that. I have now seen my rheumatologist 3 times (Max Yates at NNUH) wh has been great. The first tme referred me for a biologic clinical trial but I wasn't accepted as not

Hi, I am not sure where to post this so I thought to start here, as it does cause me a great deal of anxiety not knowing what is happening, sometimes the anxiety is the worst symptom. Also if anyone can advise a better place to post this it would be appreciated. About 10 weeks ago I started experiencing

New here
Hi,I am new to this, and want to get involved with something like this as in-person support groups are not easy for me to find. I was diagnosed with MS in 2021, and had chronic symptoms for a few years prior to that, with symptoms off and on since I was in my 20s. My symptoms, once chronic, have gotten

The Beginning
4 years ago, I fell down 3 concrete steps and landed with my hands spread out to protect my face. I didnt have much pain for about a year. Then I saw a surgeon who wanted to do ligament repair, tendon interposition and removal of my wrist trapezium bone. I had developed arthritis. After the surgery

Swapping the pistes for the prom.
As I was gathering my bits together this morning for a run, I was thinking of the similarities with skiing and running. My socks have got L and R on them, there are different layers to consider for different conditions, wicking is an important feature, the fit of the footwear is crucial, faffing is

OsteoArthritis v RA
Having had RA diagnosed some 4 years now the majority of my pain is focused on my left knee which I injured in 2017. Recent flaring and RA activity has been largely rooted in that knee and have had three steroid injections since Christmas. The most latest one was in response to searing pain in the knee

Experienced knee injury advice please?
Following my recent knee disaster, the physio saw me and suggested elastic knee support and various exercises a week ago, but following a few days rest I have only just started with the knee support (which I find allows me to walk a slow mile without any pain) and haven't started the exercises yet because

Medical gaslighting and problems accessing help through NHS
Hi there, Are any of you experiencing medical gaslighting or experiencing difficulty in receiving basic treatment from the NHS? I would be very interested to know. I was diagnosed with chronic pain state in 2011, fibromyalgia in 2013 and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome last year. Back in 2011, the NHS was challenging

PD without drugs
Dr recommended
physiotherapy
- very helpful as physiotherapist recommended some great balance exercises. Dr also recommended an ultrasound of neck - nothing unusual there. Now waiting for a Holter monitor and to see cardiologist.

A bump in the road - any advice on an injured toe? 😟
I managed to kick a bed leg while I was changing the bed, and I bruised my middle toes (2&3). I kept my weight off it and iced it, saw a pharmacist who didn't think it's broken. But middle toe is still quite sore a week later. So no running for me ( in fact I'm not even walking very far). I can wriggle

Struggle to get help for Fibro
I was diagnosed with Polymyalgia Rheumatica just over two years ago and am still taking steroids. In November 2021 I tripped and fell and fractured my humerus in 3 places and when I started Physio for this a few months later I noticed I was getting pain in my back. This pain grew worse over the next
