It's taken me, with extensive
physiotherapy
, until now to be able to mobilise independently. It's not what I call walking but I can get around with a Zimmer frame. I was discharged from hospital on the 27th October a total of 82 days or 2 months 21 days.

Respiratory Therapy Student
In the US, RTs work in hospitals managing critical care patients on ventilators, giving breathing treatments, doing chest
physiotherapy
, and educating patients on lung health. We also work with babies and children who need respiratory care. This forum is such an inspiration to me.

Most recent laparoscopy came back negative, feel so invalidated and down, please help
No other reason for this daily, debilitating pain for the last 7 months and also no real options going forward apart from restarting the Decapeptyl injections along with HRT and just pain management again with possible referral to
physiotherapy
for pelvic exercises.

Mom can't stop crying - i can't calm. Sis was out yesterday and a neighbour locked her on the roof and called the police. Emergency
I have two more weeks of recovering and then

Methotrexate-induced lung disease
The staff there are wonderful and prescribed my
physiotherapy
on an individual basis, taking into consideration my PMR/GCA/LVV, and I am feeling the strongest I've felt in years. I've even started swimming lessons! God bless the NHS. When it works, it's marvellous.

Smell Training (Olfactory Training)
Think of it as a form of
physiotherapy
for your nose.
Do the essential oils need to be organic for smell training to work?
No, they do not. Organic refers to the way the plant materials were grown.

W1R2 done (again)
I did find that the discipline learned from running has helped me to stick to my regular
physiotherapy
exercises and kept me going to the gym to do upper body workouts despite my knee. Today it also helped me get out there on a blustery, cold day and complete R2! Onward and upward!

Altered sensation after Dilator exercises
I have tried many approaches over the years but recently return to focus on
physiotherapy
and dilator stretches - on an intensive approach this time- completing a passive stretch daily for 90 to 150 minutes). Aim to do this for amonth as dedicating this time is not possible long term.

What would you do?
I have a
Physiotherapy
appointment booked for next week at the GP Surgery to discuss the recent acute hip pain increase. It doesn't feel as though it can move as much as it used to and certain motions cause intense pain and has brought tears to my eyes I confess.

Many patients from over 40 countries trust in the effectiveness of the GIGER MD therapy method – over 4000 treatments are carried out every day mostly at home, but also in
physiotherapy
practices and in renowned rehabilitation clinics, particularly in the USA.

This year's PMRGCAuk AGM
Then a bit by a rheumatologist including a brief history of steroids and their side effects, followed by a talk by a physiotherapist on how
physiotherapy
and exercise might help, the key being to find something you enjoy doing.

Physiotherapy
I had a course of
physiotherapy
last year. This involved regular meetings with the physiotherapist. She gave me a plan of exercises to do which were sent to my phone and the following meetings she would discuss and adjust accordingly. Sometimes she would massage a particular part of my body.

Foot Drop
I had
physiotherapy
but still no improvement and more or less overnight the pain in my leg and hip vanished. I then found my right foot turning upwards and inwards with no feeling on top of my foot and was told by a consultant that a nerve had dropped and I have Foot Drop.

Physiotherapy
(mucus clearing breathing exercises) worked a little bit. I've taken expensive herbal remedies none of which has had any impact.

Hip replacement
Couldn’t get much
Physiotherapy
because of the lockdowns so I did what I could on my own . since then I am having a problem with the right leg functioning properly. I had test done - my knee is not that bad ,but my hip has severe osteoarthritis.

1 down 4 to go
Hi everyone , well first treatment went well . However my chest and lungs still feel under strain. So think it might be a while before I feel good again . Suggests in the paperwork two to three weeks after treatment ends. So that will take us in to August then I go back to Physio in October. Hope
