I have ben plagued with Fibromyalgia for many years and taken Amitriptyline medication. I recently fell down the river bank and hurt my right hip. After a couple of weeks my hip never improved so I went to an Osteopath but the exercises only made things worse. I then had sciatica down my right leg so went to the doctor and had an MRI on my back which found a pinched nerve. I had physiotherapy but still no improvement and more or less overnight the pain in my leg and hip vanished. I then found my right foot turning upwards and inwards with no feeling on top of my foot and was told by a consultant that a nerve had dropped and I have Foot Drop. Has anyone else ever had this happen? I am to have an operation on my back but told my foot may never go back to normal. As it is walking like this puts strain on my knee giving lots of pain there. I am so fed up....

Reading your post I just want too say how sorry I am too hear about your fall and the problems it is now causing, I hear Scaitica is very painful without anything else added on top, you must be very fed up indeed, sending my best wishes too you .
Physio and osteopath didn't help me. The amitriptyline makes me sleep which helps in the evening. Not sure about the foot drop tho.
