Hi everyone , well first treatment went well . However my chest and lungs still feel under strain. So think it might be a while before I feel good again . Suggests in the paperwork two to three weeks after treatment ends. So that will take us in to August then I go back to Physio in October. Hope to get my other eye done in August too. No peace for the wicked as they say. The experience was very relaxed . The travel back was a bit bumpy in the back seat but at least I had transport not the local bus. I even got to see my old home where I used to live around 35 years ago. Hope you are all well , its sunny here and my plants in the garden are looking good . Sad that England lost the match but they are a good team maybe third time lucky.
1 down 4 to go : Hi everyone , well... - Lung Conditions C...

Pleased everything is going pretty well for you Katie and good luck for the rest of your treatment.
It’s lovely here today so might pop to the local garden centre. Take care xxxx❤️
I’m glad to hear your first treatment went well. It’s sunny here but I’m on crutch can’t get out into my daughter’s garden (I’ve been here a year now while my hip wound heals. Can’t wait to get home.
Well done Katie, I'm so pleased that the first one is over and that you had transport 👏 👏. Thanks for coming on to let us know ×××
Glad the first treatment went well. May all the others do so too. Thank goodness they sorted out the transport, after getting you worried about it. Hope you can enjoy your garden, when it's not too hot. 🌞🌞xxx
Hi Katie. I am so pleased to hear it went okay. I am relieved it wasn't too stressful. Thanks for the update and take care!

Hi Katie
So pleased you’re treatment went well, I miss my garden as I have garden paved for my wheelchair but I have some pots with Lillie’s, lavender, roses, geraniums etc so still see the colours. I hope everything goes smoothly for you now.
Good luck
Wendy xx
Hi wendy, most of my garden is paved and I have artificial grass with lots of flowering shrubs in tubs. Front is paved with a rockery type piece with roses etc in. Used to have green house and fruit bushes but flowers it is now. Have a nice day .
Sounds gorgeous, I used to love gardening . We have our pots so can still enjoy. I have 3 fushias sitting in a raised area below my front window with 3 wise monkeys ( ceramic ornaments) sitting within, reminds me of my hometown Hartlepool.
Take care
Wendy xx
So pleased the 1st part of your treatment is over and done with. It does start to get you down when you have more things going on at the same time. Hope we have nice weather the next few days so you can relax and recover. Take care. Brian
Hi Brian, things are rolling along but not without hitches the machines broke down on Thursday but I had mine done on a different machine an hour later. So now we will see what happens on Monday . It gets so frustrating when everything you do is fraught with problems . I guess Monday will be all delays due to the machines on Thursday and the digital breakdown on Friday. To spite all we get through along with the staff . Apparently one machine is only a week old so we think it was the heat causing breakdown.Take care ,look after yourself.
So pleased to hear your first treatment went well. Rest up & enjoy a bit of sunshine in your garden. Take care x
Hope all goes well Katie x
I’m glad things went well and hope they do for the next treatments as well. Good luck
Knew it would not last . Machine s broke down today and transport home was a fiasco but not sure whose fault it is beginning to think its the receptionist not bookintg it when I come out of treatment. Just have to see what happens next week.
I’m sorry to hear that, and hopefully they get things straightened out as the last thing you need is more problems with scheduling and transportation.
When I had hospital transport, although the return trip was requested as soon as I finished treatment, the provider had two hours in which to respond. This meant they should send someone, from a fair distance away, by the end of the two hours.
I appreciate what you are saying, it depends on who provides the transport we have a local depot for ambulances both at the hospital and near by . If it is taxis then they are local companies also and there is a taxi rank at the hospital outside the ambulance bay. In this case It was not logged in when I finished my treatment , it was only entered when I questioned it later. So that is the fault of the staff who were asked to do it. Most staff are quite happy to book hospital transport when asked even ring your relative. Hey Ho some people do not care they only worry about their own job.
Hi Katie! Glad the first one is done and that your transport worked out well.
You're sounding quite positive, which is great!
Onwards and upwards 😊 xx
great to hear things are going well. Fingers crossed the rest of your treatment does too. It is hot and sunny up north 😎
Unfortunately it did not go well second round, transport got me there early . But the machines had broken down so there was an hours delay . Then return journey was delayed due to maladministration is the technical word for it. Eventually got home by 5.15 pm but at least I got home. Not dso good today , muscle aches in my chest and cough much worse than usual. But managed to water plants and can still type and talk. will have to hit the cough medicine bottle over weekend. 🙂Sunny down in midlands today too. bye for now
Hi Katie, so pleased first treatment went well and hope it continues that way. Sorry you've had problems with your machine and hope it gets fixed soon and that transport is better next time🤞❤️xxx
