Lyrica/Pregabalin side effects
I am currently taking Lyrica/pregabalin with side effects of fatigue, clumsiness and eye twitching. Has anyone had these side effects subside with time? I've been taking it for about a month now. It seems to work fairly well but not sure I can handle the side effects. I'm only on 25mg.

Blood test update
Following on from my first private blood test in May, I went private and started NDT in June. Moving forward to date, retested this week and the results are disappointing and I still do not feel myself. Results are posted below. Any advice, much appreciated. I have been gluten free, since June and

RAI and its effects on fertility
My daughter has finally received results of blood test by consultant 22 July. This result also contains information on fertility. She had RAI December last year to treat hyperthyroid. I hope I can copy and paste result here and not too long. Rx hypothyroid planning fertility Rx Sample 0022A379895

Vitamin B12 deficiency update
After waiting over 3 weeks for my Intrinsic Factor blood test - it’s normal Intrinsic Factor ABS 2.30 - so I am to take CyanocoMinn 50mg - 2 each day for 8 weeks and then more tests including celiac test. I am feeling incredibly tired and wiped out at the moment, which I just put down to PMR so hope

Iron testing - results O.K.?
Just had my iron retested, having done it incorrectly the first time. This time, I stopped taking iron 48 hrs. before and fasted after midnight. I think the results look as though iron's not my problem. Can some more knowledgeable member let me know if that appears to be correct? Thanks! Results

Thyroid Hormone Use in Mood Disorders: Revisiting the Evidence
Discussion about using thyroid hormones in psychology and psychiatry is all too rare. For that reason, even short papers like this have their own value. It is not that there haven't been papers - but there aren't that many and, by the time we see them, they can appear as if they are historical documents

Worsening PA symptoms after Covid
But I don’t think they had read my notes about having
pernicious
anaemia
. I also don’t know what kind of b12 measure they were looking at. I had already had B12 injection 2 days before I caught Covid but I decided to self inject last week just in case, and felt a huge improvement.

folate
Hi I’ve been on b12 injections for years now and I have them every 8 weeks, but the past couple of years the Drs have found I’ve had about 3 folate deficiencies, I take 3 months of folic acid and then told that’s all I need and then few months later might have an unrelated blood test and find I’m deficient

Frustrated with NHS
I tried to make the argument that both my Mother and Grandfather have
pernicious
anaemia
, I have IBS (which affects my ability to absorb minerals from food), I have 75% of the symptoms of a B12 deficiency and I live a healthy lifestyle so there's no reason for my levels to be so low.

Levothyroxine and iron prescription
hi everyone, Just been told I’ve got low iron by the dr from my bloods and was looking online that you can’t take levo and iron together and they have to be taken on an empty stomach. Please can someone confirm is this is correct? Thank you for your help.

Medichecks Pernicious Anaemia Test
Hi, Just wondering whether anyone here has had the medichecks test done to see if they have Pernicous Anaemia? I have Hashimotos, and my B12 level at my last blood test was 343 (180-900) I'm not getting very far with my GP at the moment, so looking at private testing. Would be interested to hear others

Advice needed
I’ve recently been diagnosed with low b12, the doctor said I haven’t got
pernicious
anaemia
as, although my intrinsic factor is low it’s ‘ok’, so he put me on b12 injections. I’m currently on the loading phase, 1a week for 4 weeks then 1 ever 3 months.

Some help with interpreting iron panel please.
My mum is supplementing with iron. Crp hs 0.48 (0-5) Iron 29,9 (5.8-34.5) Tibc 62.7 (45-81) Uibc 30.9 (24.2-70.1) Transferrin 47.5 (20-50) Ferritin 298.6 (13-150) It looks as though she should’ve stopped a while back. Any insight with what these numbers are now saying and mean would be helpful

diagnosed
Was originally diagnosed 8 years ago. I have not had injections for 2 years due to covid so asked GP to restart them but wouldn’t without blood test etc. blood test has come back saying b12 is normal and intrinsic factor is negative so he is saying I don’t have PA anymore? And therefore won’t treat me

When blood tests don't show the reality in lupus
im sure there are so many of you who have blood test after blood test that doesn't show the true and complete picture of what is going on. GPs don't give me the actual numbers bc I'm medical, instead they say normal or satisfactory which to me mean very little. And is their normal my normal? I know

Waiting to see haematology and neurology privetly so don’t want to take too many more supplements

Did Anyone With Diagnosed Pernicious Anaemia or B12 Deficiency have rapid weight gain before the deficiency was found?
I have recently added to my full house of Chronic Health conditions with tests showing high platelets , abnormal blood cell size , severe Vitamin B12 and Iron deficiencies and severe Vit D deficiency. I have just had the tests for Intrinsic Factor antibodies , folate , autoantibodies and Coeliac
