Bad news: prostate cancers doubling by 2040
Bad news on one side, for all the guys that will join the damn club (and the trends say their age is lowering as well....I am an example actually!). On the other side we can hope for an increase of effort to solve the problem, at least for prostate, breast, lung and colorectal cancers, which are quite

Expanded label sought for 177Lu-PSMA-617 in prostate cancer: about time
I have already done the taxane part and I would like to see how 177Lu performs as first line...but this is also interesting, it seems more effective than a change in ARPI in castration resistant setting "Data also showed that a PSA decline of at least 50% was more than 2.5 times more frequent with 177Lu-PSMA

Reference Library of Papers about Dutasteride for Treating Prostate Cancer
Here is a library of 20 papers about using Dutasteride to treat prostate cancer. In one study, Dutasteride monotherapy reduces PSA by 50%, reduces prostate volume by 25%, and reduces tumor volume by 30%, after 6 months of treatment, compared to placebo (Moore, 2017). https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov

flying with lupus
hello. My husband has been diagnosed with SLE. He has discomfort when he flys in his heart. His cardiologist has said there is nothing wrong with his heart although he has pericarditis…. Which you can fly with… so we think it is a lupus symptom. Does anyone have any similar experiences or tips? Flying

Hi, In May 2021 I had the intrinsic factor blood test and my results were as follows. 89 u/ml. With a normal range of 0-24 u/ml. And the following notes. The presence of anti intrinsic factor antibodies together with a low vitamin B12 level is diagnostic of pernicious anaemia Does this make sense to

Rash photo.
Newbie here. Not diagnosed with lupus nor Sjogren's, though I do have symptoms of both. I've had this weird rash on the back of my neck, into my hairline for a while now. Any ideas if it could be lupus/Sjogren's related? Many thanks in advance for any replies.

Diabetes drug similar to Ozempic helped slow progression of Parkinson’s disease in small trial
https://www.cnbc.com/2024/04/04/drug-similar-to-ozempic-slowed-parkinsons-disease-in-small-trial.html And they are no longer manufacturing this older drug as it would be a "cheap" drug. It will be repurposed and cost $$$. I know I am being cynical. [i]Sanofi pulled lixisenatide from the market

starting statins and blood thinners
I just found out that I had a silent stroke in the past according to a recent MRA. I am starting a med that keeps platelets from sticking together and a statin. I am scared to death of the side effects. Any advice?
