Hydroxyurea with eliquis or aspirin
My husband was diagnosed with Polycythemia vera and chronic thrombosis in the left leg. I am concerned of the side affects of Eliquis with Hydroxyurea. If anyone was diagnosed with PV and thrombis in the leg, can you please let me know what medications you are taking and if I should be concerned. Thank

My Dr said I have AF Im currently taking eliquis 2times a day. But I drink beer I guess heavily. No more than 18 maybe on the weekend. Is this wise? Cause I really enjoy my relaxing time

Razorgirl
Tried to lower dose of fleicanide to 75mug 2x a day since it has caused a long QT wave. Cutting a 100mg pill to 75 mg is impossible. Now, I have had quivering like my heart wants to do the dirty deed and go into a fib. I cough and it stops. Going back on 100mg two times a day, darnit. I will not take

Eliquis and Meloxicam
I have just started on Eliquis 5mg twice a day because my episodes of AF have increased in frequency lately. I used to have 1-2 episodes per year, but I have had 7 or 8 since the end of November. I have taken Meloxicam (Mobic) for arthritis for a couple of years and it works great - once a day with

Laparoscopy - no endo!
So I had my laparoscopy yesterday and I’m in pain but keeping on top of painkillers as much as I can. The gas pain comes and goes but I’m taking peppermint oil tablets to help with that. I have two incisions, one on my left and the belly button. I didn’t feel that bad when I came round, just tired!

New drug Constella (Linaclotide)
Have been an ibs sufferer for many years and have just had a severe 6 day bout of constipation. (Which took a massive amount of laxatives to resolve). I already take one and a half Movicol sachets per day and 25mg Amitriptyline. I have just been given a new drug called Constella 290mg but forgot to

Help! At my wits end. 10 weeks of diarrhoea no resolution, should I get another opinion?
Hello, totally new to this and floundering massively. I’ve been treated for a severe gut infection over the past two months or so. Although nothing identified on two stool samples and blood work just showed inflammatory markers that suggested infection. I lost 20kgs in weight, which has made me so weak

Given IBS treatment despite lack of symptoms and agreement on Endo diagnosis...
I went to Spire for a consultation just before Christmas and met with a gynocologist who after going through many many questions suggested an ultrasound as he expected I had Endometriosis and that due to the pain getting worse around my period, it was very unlikely that it was IBS because I had no bowel

Eliquis and hair loss
I have been on Eliquis since the summer of 2017. I began to notice my hair falling out and am now despairing about how much hair I have lost. I started with quite a bit, so others would not necessarily know what is going on. It is constant. It seems that this is a rare situation but I wonder if

Eliquis and Hair Loss TOO!
Following 2 back surgeries in '12 and '13 for 7 herniated disks, a stent, and more than a few embolisms (DVT & PE), I was on Warfarin for a couple of years. Labs were very inconvenient. Then something else--I forget what--and now Eliquis for a year-plus. BUT, I'm also taking BP and Cholestrol meds

HI everyone, I am new to this website, but looking for some support and guidance. I am 54 and have had afib for years. I was never on blood thinners as the doctor told me I was at low risk for a stroke because of age and no other health conditions. Well, he was wrong. I had a stroke in August of

I was diagnosed last month with A-Fib, up to my 70th birthday I took no pills for anything! 2 weeks later I have a very fast pulse, and my husband rushes me into hospital, we live about 3/4 hour drive to nearest A&E so it would take even longer if I called ambulance.
