Hi everyone! my name is Ady

I had a pulmonary embolisms on December 10, just a few day after I had my gallbladder removed. I’m looking for information to better understand this condition and prevent it for happening again I’m on Eliquis 5 mg.

Hi, and welcome. I expect your PE came as a direct result of your surgery, so probably won't recur. The NHS has some good information about blood clots, which you can find on line.

I agree, it's what's called a "provoked" embolism. Good that you are taking Apixaban.

I'm on Eliquis too following a diagnosis of a PE after having a catheter ablation (procedure done on my heart that was done through the femoral veins in my groin). I am super freaked out and the more hunting online I do, the more scared I get :/
