Will Kidney Diet Help CKD3 If Cause Is Medication?
I'm on Eliquis (5mg/2x a day) for a pulmonary embolism and due to family history, I will need to take it for life. I'm 66 and was in excellent health prior to my blood clot in January. No family history of kidney disease. But, my kidney function has declined since the clot--from eGFR of >66.6 to 50 in

I am new to this site, and aFIb...first episode a year and a half ago and then 3 months ago. For this episode, my Dr. decided to drug me up. First with the demon drug, Sotalol, and Eliquis..I was off to England in a few weeks, so I think he wanted me to not have an episode in the hills of Shropshire!

Does anyone take "Magnesium Citrate Calm" for severe and chronic IBS-C..has it helped?
Had to go yet again to ER for an enema for impaction/constipation. Doctor's office could not get me in, and they would have sent me to ER anyway. Have had "C" since childhood, but it became worse (my Digestive system shut down) after coming off cold turkey off prescribed Opiods. I was on the lowest dose

Warfarin and Spine Surgery
Three years ago I had multiple PE's while on low dose of warfarin (INR was found to be only 1.0) I was on the warfarin for previous DVT's. I was then diagnosed with having Lupus Anticoagulant. I am being treated in St. Louis, MO by an oncologist who says that LA is not the same as APS or Hughes

Eliquis and headache in upper back left of skull
I started taking Eliquis for atrial fibrillation a couple of weeks ago and I've noticed that a very specific place at the back of the left side of my skull seems to ache every day. The pain is not severe, but it's strange. I haven't noticed any other side effects. Has anyone experienced similar Eliquis-related

Pace and Ablate?
Does pace and ablate mean a cardiac abliation and a pace maker? I had a cardiac abliation end of March. Now my heart rate is all over the place. Take metoprolol tartrate 75mg 2 times daily and Eliquis 5mg 2 times daily and fosprinil 20mg once daily. Does a pacemaker control afib and then Yiu have to

Eliquis and Hair Loss -- a Connection?
I have been on Eliquis since August, 2017 and finally connected that timing with my hair loss ... which has been happening steadily over the last 11 months .... and getting worrisome at this point. I do have alot of stress in my life ... good stress and bad stress .... but have had that for years.

Occasional Celebrex whilst on Eliquis?
I'm currently on Eliquis (2x 5mg) for A Fib and flutter. I also suffer from bad neck pain due to severe degenerative cervical discs and disc osteophytes. Paracetamol has not been of much help, and would like to try a NSAID on the occasional basis when the neck pain is unbearable. I realise that anticoagulants

Eliquis and Ciprofloxacin
I was put on Eliquis several weeks ago after being hospitalized with multiple DVTs (and a history of DVTs and PEs). I also have chronic Urinary Tract infections. I have a prescription for Ciprofloxacin at home (doctor prescribed) and I'm 100% certain I currently have a UTI. It is Sunday here, and over

Eliquis and Cortisone
I have afib and I am on Eliquis. After some life style changes to my diet and including daily walks and yoga I was able to reduce the afib episodes to only 2 last year that were treated with PIP. Unfortunately I injured my hip doing a yoga twist. That was 4 months ago. I have been in pain and have gone

Eliquis and surgery
Eliquis and surgery. My EP says 5 days off eliquis before carpal tunnel surgery( which is very minor compared to something else ) and off 2 days after surgery. All the literature I can find says this is excessive. I am more scared of a stroke than the pain from the carpal tunnel.

New to this site; but not new to medical problems; but have to add lung problems to afib and others.
I'm new here. I'm an 82 year old male, who used to be very active (a Volunteer Fireman until about a year ago). I have afib, on Eliquis (5 Mg twice a day) and just had an Ablation to try and correct the afib; but in the midst, just diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) Any help appreciated

Eliquis & low platelets
I have been taking Eliquis for 9 months, and my platelets have dropped from 150,000 to 118,000. I believe the norm is 150,000 to 400,000. I am waiting to see my EP after my 2nd ablation. Should I be concerned with the drop? Thank you !

Another step forward with solid EP visit
Good visit with EP today. A little more than 3 months since ablation. My EKG was great. I can stop Eliquis, imdur and reduce my Lipitor from 80 to 20 mg. Staying on sotalol for at least another 3 months, in part because I have been getting some short episodes of palptitations with activity since the
