Yes John Pepper fast walk is essential. Right foot wants to turn to inside but after 15 porch laps I can relax the foot and keep it straight for now anyway! 8 years? That goves me hope. Has anyone tried Phosphatidylserine? Parkinson's News Today a couple of days ago. May help promote sleep Make

This isn't strictly AF but...
Since my afib ablation on Feb. 28, I have passed every heart test there is but still have a lot of chest pain. Yesterday, I had an MRI and CT scan of abdomen. MRI revealed nothing but a stiff neck. CT scan was more problematic. All doctor's secretary would say was I need to stop Eliquis right away and

Finally had enough!
Hello all! I am a 65 year old guy that has always led an active life. Up until 3 years ago I was a runner (Half marathon), kayaker, etc. Had a wild case of AFib after a race and had to visit ER. Since then I have experienced one or two episodes per month usually lasting 8-12 hours. Tried and hated beta

Eliquis (apixaban) cost and dosing question - Pharm wants $480 a month!
My insurance lapsed after our premiums went sky high ($1600 month family of 4) and my Eliquis is no longer covered. I have Afib once every 6 or so months and have to get cardioverted back into sinus, so my Dr. put me on the blood thinner last year. I currently take two 5mg pills a day. If I slowly cut

Sotolol
I know in UK that Sotolol is not used, but here In US it is. I have been on Sotolol since November 2017. I had an Ablation in late January. I tried once to wean myself off and AF returned mildly. I see my EP this week and hopefully will be taken off. I only take 40 mg twice a day now. Any

Which anticoagulant is best
I have been taking Pradaxa but saw a study that said Eliquis was safer so asked Doc to switch me. Now I am wishing I had not as I haven’t had any side effects with Pradaxa and there is a chance I could with Eliquis. Just wondered what others have experienced and which anticoagulant is the most popular

Apixaban newbie
Hi everyone, found your discussions yesterday when looking up how to live with Apixaban due to atrial fibrillation. I'm an Eliquis newbie, on it for just 5 days. I've been freaking about bleeding, and what you all share is so reassuring and realistically informative - big appreciation to you all.

Alternative diagnosis to IBS?
Hi all, have struggled with accepting the IBS diagnosis as it’s so hard to believe that IBS can be so severe. I’ve tried all IBS medicines under the sun: mebeverine, peppermint oil, buscopan, silicol gel, probiotics, digestion tablets, charcoal tablets, citalopram, and finally amitryiptaline which I’

11 weeks post ablation. Still have chest pain.
I am 11 weeks past ablation and just came back from my 4th visit to ER for chest pain. This time they finally game me cardiac cath and I passed with no significant blockages. My ultrasound shows 70 percent heart function. I am in sinus rhythm and my post ablation palpitations have stopped. But no one

Which anticoagulant is the safest
I have been on Pradaxa since I was diagnosed 4 years ago but thinking of asking EP to change it to Eliquis as I have read it is safer. Just wondered which was the most prescribed anticoagulant?

Advice PLEASE!
I haven't been active on the site since last year. I have been in poor health and just trying to get through each day has proven to be no small feat. I wonder if anyone else has had the struggles that I've had with inadequate medical care? I should be on anticoagulants for life but have been without

Anyone taking Coumadin?
Most docs now prescribe Pradaxa, Xerelto or Eliquis, but Coumadin is still the safest in terms of reversal in the case of bleeds. I understand the convenience of the newer drugs -- big Pharm has spared no money telling us this -- but wondering if anyone taking Coumadin could tell me how much of a bother

Did or didn't I take my medication this morning
I take 25mg metoprolol and 5mg Eliquis twice a day for aqib, this morning had a lot on my mind and couldn't remember if I took it or not, is it safer to not take the chance of taking it twice, or take it with the possibility you didn't, I wound up deciding not to take it and see how the day goes

Meds after ablation
I was on digoxin, eliquis and amiodarone for 1 month prior to my ablation. After the procedure I was taken off those 3 and left on metroprolol, is it a common thing to stop meds right after an ablation, I have been in a normal rhythm with a few pvcs/pacs and some palpitations!!

ALWAYS get a second opinion
I had been seeing the same cardiologist for 8 yrs for symptomatic afib. My afib has gotten steadily more frequent until now I have been cardioverted 3 times in the last 4 weeks. My cardiologist set me up with his EP to discuss cryo-ablation and I was not impressed. After some research I found the guy
