Eliquis and Cortisone

I have afib and I am on Eliquis. After some life style changes to my diet and including daily walks and yoga I was able to reduce the afib episodes to only 2 last year that were treated with PIP. Unfortunately I injured my hip doing a yoga twist. That was 4 months ago. I have been in pain and have gone for therapy and to an osteopath with no help. A specialist has recommended a cortisone injection into my hip. Has anyone had experience with afib and cortisone injections. I am in pain and until now have not taken any medication other than the eliquis. Any comments would be welcome.

Hi I'm on Eliquis for AF and also have problems with arthritic ankles for which I've had cortisone injections. I was told by consultant to suspend eliquis for 48 hours before having the injections, which I did with no consequent problems. Same applies to dental work.

Hope this is helpful.
