Eliquis and headache in upper back left of skull

I started taking Eliquis for atrial fibrillation a couple of weeks ago and I've noticed that a very specific place at the back of the left side of my skull seems to ache every day. The pain is not severe, but it's strange. I haven't noticed any other side effects. Has anyone experienced similar Eliquis-related head/skull pain?

Hello Tony have you reported a problem to your GP ,you should it needs to be monitored.

When I first started taking Elquis after a few days I developed a strange headache it was more pressure in the scull than a sharp pain . I had it every day for 3 weeks. I had to wait 2 weeks for an appointment with a GP of my choice by which time it was easing off . My GP said it was more likely to be caused by starting to take a beta blocker at the same time as Elquis . It was such a relief when it stopped, I really didn’t want to change to anything else which might have other side effects. I guess it was my body getting used to the new meds,

So I would talk to your Dr and I hope your problem resolves soon.

Thanks so much, doodle68. That's very reassuring. My theory is that my skull is getting used to the thinner blood created by Eliquis, and in particular, that my skull is adjusting to the way this thinner blook flows through my system. I'm grateful to know that your symptoms went away in about three weeks. The left side of my face/skull is a bit more sensitive than the right side because I experienced sudden hearing loss syndrome many years ago, and so my left ear is completely deaf due to a microscopic inner ear blockage. I think the vascular system that has developed around the inner ear blockage (that caused my hearing loss) is hypersensitive to changes...especially in the density of my blood.
