Painful joints
Morning Is anyone experiencing painful joints whilst taking
pentasa
? Sometimes it keeps me awake. I had it in my knee last week and could barely stand on it. It's now in my wrist. I'm in despair

I do have Crohn's disease, but am feeling well.Apart from tiredness, which l am hoping is being caused by the drug
Pentasa
that l have recently started taking. Cant get an appointment for two weeks with my doctor, don't think my nerves will hold out.

Am I still in a flare? - advice if you've had experience please
Hi there, I was diagnosed with UC in May and tried Asacol enemas, Colifoam enemas and
Pentasa
to get it under control but nothing worked until I was given 8 weeks of Prednisolone. I went back to my Consultant for follow-up when I finished the Pred. and we had a chat.

Been back a couple of times and now the specialist says steroids and
pentasa
are not going to manage it I need to consider having drugs to reduce my immune system. To be honest I'm overwhelmed from a tummy bug to this!

Medications
Pentasa
and prednisolone enemas are not working. I feel nauseous, exhausted and my joins ache like an old woman. I am 62. I am not seeing the gastro until the end of the month and my IBD nurse cannot prescribe oral steroids without approval from consultant. How can I get that medication quicker.?

New here, please be gentle
Changed meds again to
Pentasa
and I was put on a course of steroids and have been fine up until five weeks ago when I started another flare up. Went to see consultant yesterday who has put me back on steroids and will see me in three months.

Osteoarthritis Specialist Centres - UK south
I'm posting this on more than one forum, as osteoarthritis is such a common condition. Just wondered if anyone can recommend a specialist centre for osteoarthritis in the south of the UK? I have genetic nodal osteoarthritis of the hands and the centres that seem to specialise or be interested in this

Success with Azathiaprin
Just to let you all know after having a blood transfusion in 2013 and an iron transfusion, I was put on
Pentasa
500mg 2 x twice daily. It helped for a while, but as I became use to the medication, the bleeding started all over again, which is very distressing.

Not diagnosed as Lupas, but I'd appreciate your opinions please...
She's been on
Pentasa
for the UC for years, with Steriod foam enemas during flare ups. Recently, her GP recommended using the steroid foam while her joints were flaring up, which does help. Does this sound like lupus? Should we ask for more testing?
