HI All! Researching what I can do for my bones to help. I have had my fill of zoledronic acid and zometa. Currently on a break from them. My Onco. went 2 years on, then 3 years off, then 2 years on…to preserve my jaw. I am current of for another year and a half before she will consider another round

Making sense of supplements
hi everyone, having been on the forum now for four days and reading lots of posts about various supplements that may help with improving egg quality - I have a few questions: - I’m currently taking CoQ10 (as recommended by my doc) but just one 200mg tab once a day as it suggests on the bottle, whereas

Hi, Will be interested in opinions. I have had nafld for 2 years. I had a recent scan and it’s still there. My Gp offered the only advice to eat healthy and no other monitoring. I had my gallbladder removed last year. I have been suffering with insufficient vitamin d issues even though I take a

New Set of Results
Hi all, Haven't posted in a while, so here's an update. I had a thyroidectomy 18 months ago, with no RAI due to ongoing saliva issues. Up until about 3 weeks ago I was doing well on 137.5mg Levo, good energy levels and feeling pretty good. Since then I've been lacking energy, feeling a bit down. and

Can you check my results please?
Hi everyone, I'm 55 years old and on HRT patches for 12 months. I've had longstanding issues with finding my vitamin D levels difficult to raise (currently 63) and also supplement with vit B12. At the end of Nov had a rapid increase in the following symptoms, which seemed to match with many on the

Just been prescribed t3 and have a few questions…
hi there, I has hashimotos and UAT. I finally went to see a private endo who tested my T3. My blood results were: tSh 0.49 T4 21 and T3 3.1. He said I may benefit from T3 as I’m not converting t4 to t3 well enough. I’m currently taking 100mg levo and have been for 6 months (gp started me on 125 and

Sudden onset of vertigo - could it be thyroid related?
Hi all, The earliest appointment I've got a GP appointment for is7 Feb. and by visio, for my sudden onset of vertigo. I am visiting my elderly mum in UK for a week and woke up first morning with vertigo in bed as if I was very drunk and had to hold onto the mattress to get balance, eyes kept scrolling

Some Blood Results are in...? Hmmm,,...?
Hi Folks I had a range of tests this week, FBC, TSH, Liver function, Kidney function, Vit D, Potassium, and Folate. But no Active B12 or Active Iron or IF test. The MMA result has yet to come in. Here are the results of the B12, but also the others that ( to me ) are the below range or low

Unwelcome Set Back
hello there one and all. since my last post I’ve had an unwelcome flare up in my joints causing pain and hideous stiffening. I felt so disheartening going back to square one. the doctor has increased my Prednisone from 15mg to 30mg daily. this set back has created my usually strong mental health

Latest results - looking better?
Hi, I had my latest round of Medichecks "Ultimate Performance" results the other day (tested at 9am, fasted as per protocol). I'm doing these blood tests every 3-4 months to try and optimise things; energy, mood, brain-fog. I am doing quite well, subjectively probably somewhat better than previously

Also told I have very low vitamin d Waiting on my medication being dispensed but in the mean time I started taking the vitd that I got from holland and barret. Don't

Trial of T3
I’ve been taking Levothyroxine 100 mcg for quite a few years, levels of which are taken by GP annually but only TSH and T4 and are always reported as ‘in range ‘. I’ve not had any energy for a long time so did some testing myself with medichecks My results from 16/01/23 are CPR HS 1.13 ( 0-5) Ferritin

Timings of taking vitamins/supplements
This time I have a question about vitamins and supplements. I'm currently taking quite a cocktail in order to sort out my thyroid and because I'm trying to conceive. But I'm confused about which to take when, and which together/not together. This is my current routine: First thing/middle of the night

Vitamin D
As my asthma has been out of control, I rang asthma UK. I received lots of good advice, including to look at taking vitamin d. I then received my latest bloods showing a vitamin d deficiency. So I have ordered my vitamin d with my tesco delivery. Has taking vitamin d helped others with their asthma

Some advice please...
Hello All I'd very much welcome your views on these blood test results for my 85 year old father (they were taken first thing in the morning before his thyroid meds). He is active for his age and currently without major health issues (always had a good organic diet and around 10 stone). He has cold

First dose of AA
I took first dose (70g) and 48 hours later can hardly walk with acute rib, hip and chest pain. Cant believe how debilitated I am and the pain is intense, does this settle down ? Low vit D and iron levels too which are being addressed by GP however cant go on like this. Any advice gratefully received!

When to test on T4 and T3?
Hi all, Mid Sept '22 I started to add in 6.25mcg T3 self sourced to my previous 125mcg Levo NHS prescribed (alternating 100/150mcg) daily. This was because previous results have shown poor conversion from T4 to T3, with high T4, low TSH. Prior to this on 125mcgT4 alone, I made an effort to improve

Oral Thrush
I started steroid treatment in September and have reduced dose from 20mgs to 15mgs. Throughout treatment I have had Oral Thrush. It cleared after treatment with Nystatin, but almost immediately returned. I am not taking any other medication apart from calcium and Vitamin D tablets. Is Prednisolone causing
