Optimum vitamin levels
After months of prevaricating by my GP I decided to see an Endo privately. I won't to go into the history, but suffice it to say that his letter to my GP contained a thinly veiled rebuke in relation to the handling of my situation since I was diagnosed with TED by a consultant ophthalmologist in 2009

Full removal of thyroid and parathyroid anxiety levels very high
hello, I hope someone can help. in August 2022, I had my total thyroid and total parathyroid removed, they were both so enlarged that they were suffocating me, this was only discovered when the operation was performed, though I had been suffering serious breathing problems for the preceding year and

Most efficient way to increase folate?
When I last tested in June my folate was very low, despite iron, Vit D and ferritin being ok. My ferritin is never brilliant, and v slow to increase but it doesn’t seem to cause me any issues. Folate however was below range (2.08ug/l) on the medichecks system. I did continue my supplements but had to

Daughter's blood results
Merry Christmas everyone 🎄⛄Following on from my post about my daughter's Vitamin D and Folate deficiency diagnosis, attached are my daughter's blood test results. I wanted a copy to check if they'd checked her B12 as I was concerned about her starting Folic acid if deficient in B12 . I don't see anything

This is about not being able to eat with hypothyroidism.
Could you please help me with low stomach acid. I have hypothyroidism and gluten sensitivity and maybe Hashimotos or something else my doctor said. My antibodies are 31. I can only eat carbohydrates due to chronic pain eating anything else. This has been like it seven years and the doctors show no interest

magnesium glycinate and pregnancy
Knowing that lots of you take magnesium glycinate, have any of you taken it safely during pregnancy? Slightly off topic as I’m enquiring for my daughter who does not have a thyroid problem but is in the first trimester of pregnancy and is only sleeping about three hours a night. I suggested magnesium

should i reduce my dose?
After my last results my plan was to stay on 150mcg levothyroxine and carry on with B complex, iron and vitamin d and then re test in 3 months but my dr has been trying to get hold of me and the receptionist said in my notes the dr has written "is over medicated need to reduce dose" so i'm presuming

Who has had/has BXO - How did you decide to treat it?
Wondering what others are doing with BXO. Just getting a circumcision, or have you tried other things first? Creams? stretching? not stretching? injections of stronger meds? etc? I recently read there are injections that can break up scar tissue. Example 1 [i]"If a hypertrophic scar or keloid
