Good news after the disaster of ATOS
Got home feeling really fed up after the ATOS fiasco (see my earlier post) to find a letter from Addenbrookes from the immunologist saying that I need immunoglobulin therapy and a £10 gift card from M&S after I complained! At least hopefully once the therapy starts I won't suffer from continual infections

Neurofeedback
I'm wondering if anybody has tried Neurofeedback for motor symptoms of Parkinsons, most specifically for tremors.

What are the symptoms of Parkinson's Disease?
"People with Parkinson's often tend to walk leaning forward, in small quick steps as if hurrying, and with reduced swinging of the arms. They also may have trouble starting to walk (hesitation) and stop suddenly (freezing)." http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/magazine/issues/winter14/articles/winter14pg6

Anyone with Parkinson Plus Syndrome (MSA)? You can message me if you prefer.
MSA is classified by two types:
Parkinsonism
and cerebellar, depending on which types of symptoms predominate at the time of evaluation." I've also read that many people are misdiagnosed as having Parkinson's because they present with Parkinson's like symptoms.

Nilotinib in clinical trials for PSP
After reading someone else's post about this medication being used in clinical trials for PSP and other neuro-degenerative diseases and seeing that it had already been cleared by the FDA (we are in the U.S.) for a cancer treatment, I have asked our neurologist to prescribe it for my husband as an off

I've been reading about the benefits of Forced Exercise and exercise rate on bicycles and its effect on PD symptoms.
Here are some articles I got from Google. I'd love to receive reactions to these studies, especially since the studies have encouraged me to try to pedal as fast as I can on my exercise bike. 1. Exercise Rate Related to Improvements in Parkinson’s Disease CHICAGO—People with Parkinson's disease benefit

Being scared.
A few decades ago I was standing at the bow of a tramp steamer in the middle of the Indian Ocean when suddenly I found myself being lulled into a trance like state by the rhythmic thud of the engines and the hiss of the bow cutting through the mirror calm sea. The serenity and pureness of that moment

Medical Marijuana...Parkinson's
Marijuana oil..Try it you have nothing to lose but you might be like me and experience better sleep less tremor and a reduction in meds, Sinemet. I ingest a rice size morsel before bedtime and a tiny bit when I take a pill,it works for me.

I came across this article. What is the role of mitochondrial dysfunction in Parkinson’s disease?
Scientists have accrued a large body of evidence confirming that mitochondria play an important role in the development of Parkinson’s disease. The most prominent symptoms of Parkinson’s disease are muscle trembling and weakness, which then progress to muscle immobility. These symptoms are the result
