The benefits of exercising to music
One aspect of Parkinson's is the body's desire not to move, which it achieves by reducing dopamine production and freezing, rigidity and bradykinesia. Playing loud, low, beat-y music at between 100-120 beats per minute while you exercise eliminates the freezing response and allows you to move much more

Evidence for supplements?
I suppose the title of the post says it really! Like everybody else, I spend lots of money on NAC, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Co-enzyme Q10, Resveratrol etc etc. I'm about 2 years in and feel okay but the disease is progressing slowly despite all of my strategies. Therefore, I ask myself, is there any point

Need Advise
I take Senemet, 25-100, three times a day. I understand that the 100 stands for the mg of L-dopa in the prescription. I'm trying to substitute Macuna Purins for at least one of the Senemet daily. The Macuna I have says it is 15 mg per tab. Is there a way to calculate the amount of Macuna to take? Hopefully

Parkinson's: Understanding its more than a movement disorder may speed a cure
It is increasingly evident that Parkinson disease (PD) is not a single entity. PD is a heterogeneous disorder, meaning no two individuals have the same symptoms, disease course or treatment response. Defining subtypes of PD further helps understand underlying mechanisms, predict disease course, and
