Is this heaven?
Over the years I've seen bits and pieces while channel surfing. But I always thought Field Of Dreams was a stupid idea for a movie so never watched it beginning to end. Today I caught the last 15 minutes and bawled like a baby. I blame the Parkinson's effect on my brain. So one more sign of

Ringing ears
My husband was dx with
Parkinsonism
3 yrs ago. I believe it was starting a few years before that. His doctor is now leaning toward PSP. I ask because he has had ringing in his ears for quite a long time, however we never reported it to his doctor, thinking it was unrelated.

'Could All the Experts Be Wrong About Parkinson's?'
"There is already more than enough dopamine inside the cells. In some ways, using dopaminergic therapies is akin to whipping a tired horse; it helps for a few strides but doesn't affect long-term results." "Four laboratory studies report that blocking production of dopamine within these brain cells improves

Biogen Receives Accelerated Approval for Alzheimer's drug. Accelerated Approval with Follow Up Testing Sounds Good to Me.
Although this doesn't relate to directly to Parkinson’s Disease, I am intrigued by the apparently new concept of "accelerated approval" for serious conditions with an unfilled medical need. For those of us already afflicted, the normal approval process seems painstakingly slow. https://www.washingtonpost.com

🧠 Methylation Regulates Alpha-Synuclein Expression and Is Decreased in Parkinson's Disease Patients' Brains
Markers of neurodegeneration (APP, alpha-synuclein) are related to markers of methylation (SAM, SAH) in patients with PD. Better cognitive function was related to higher methylation potential (SAM/SAH ratio). https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/19679632/ The ratio of SAM:SAH is frequently used as an indicator

Emerging concepts on bradykinesia in non‐parkinsonian conditions
From a pathophysiological standpoint, bradykinesia in neurological conditions not primarily characterized by
parkinsonism
may be explained by brain network dysfunction.

Zhittya Genesis Medicine's Drug Reverses Aggregated Synuclein Accumulation in an Animal Model of Parkinson's Disease
I posted earlier on preclinical findings that our growth factor drug (human FGF-1) can regenerate new dopamine-secreting neurons in a primate model of PD. This led to a significant improvement in motor skill functioning of the monkeys. I would now like to share data with you that FGF-1 can also decrease
