Does anyone suffer tinnitus? My husband was dx with Parkinsonism 3 yrs ago. I believe it was starting a few years before that. His doctor is now leaning toward PSP. I ask because he has had ringing in his ears for quite a long time, however we never reported it to his doctor, thinking it was unrelated.
Ringing ears: Does anyone suffer tinnitus... - Cure Parkinson's
Ringing ears
Have had tinnitus for years. Worse when I eat carbs
Sometimes too much or too little b6 causes tinnitus. Same for B12.
Yes, 24/7, & had it a decade before Diagnosis
Me too, active on left side, the symptomatic one. Neuro dodged the question by refeering me to ENT specialist... Agree with Kia17: B-complex seems to sort of ignite ringing of the right hemisphere.
Yes my husband does occasionally
Fairly common disorder with little illumination as to cause. No established relation and no significant, valid research linking b6 to tinnitus. Some early clinical interest in using b12 to help tinnitus but little if any research. People selling them, on the other hand, have several blog- and -marketing efforts to make some money selling it for that purpose, replete sales talk and (probably fake) attendant testimonials.
Yes I think this might be tied in to drainage of the glymphatic system. Start a daily regime of stretching neck and face muscles and also chest and diaphragm stretching to help drainage. (My theory only. I have no papers to back it up )
Yes! I have had it for longer than I can remember. I have got so used to it, but try not to think about it.
I was dx with tinnitus one year before dx of PD.
I never really connected the two, but reading this post i realise its only on left side, my affected PD side. The right
ear has noise occasionally but not constant like left ear.
Coincidence ?? Who would kmow ??
I have it also. On and off. Sometimes loud and sometimes soft.
Yes, I have had it for years, and it has gotten worse since my diagnosis.
Yes I have had it before diagnosis. It comes and goes. It more noticeable when lying in bed at night after PD medication wears off.
Tinnitus is my first clue that my medication is wearing off. Peak dosage seems to trigger a milder, shorter episode.
