DOES ANYONE WITH PARKINSON'S DISEASE EXPERIENCE FESTINATION?
How do you cope? I am overwhelmed with falling everyday, two to three falls daily. Do you think the specialized PD WALKER called '' STEP 2 YOU will help to reduce or prevent the falls? Please reply if you have used this walker ,before I invest my hard earned money in it.

Neupro (Rotigotine transdermal patches) for Parkinson's disease
Hello, Has anyone been successful in completely withdrawing Rotigotine patches and how did you achieve this? I am getting severe muscle stiffness as a withdrawal symptom. It also took me 26 months so far to go from 10 mg to just under 1mg per 24 hours Rotigotine total dose. However, the last 1 mg is

My mother in law was diagnosed with MSA with
parkinsonism
in june. She'd been having problems for a while, most notably anxiety and sensory processing issues as far back as last year. But she could have had subtle signs prior to that.

Post-Alcoholic Parkinsonian Synd?
So the question that I ask is the following: can alcohol taken on a regular basis explain certain types of
Parkinsonism
and if so would they be irreversible?

Trial of Deferiprone in Parkinson’s Disease (Iron Chelation) Complete: Looks like it made PD worse...
Conclusions:
In participants with early Parkinson’s disease who had never received levodopa and in whom treatment with dopaminergic medications was not planned, deferiprone was associated with worse scores in measures of
parkinsonism
than those with placebo over a period of 36 weeks.

how much levodopa is normal?
I’m 7 years in to this fun ride. Mostly I’d say I’m doing ok. I’m tremor dominant bilateral now. I do have rigidity and slowness as well when off. I’d say that when I’m medicated well, people wouldn’t know I have PD and I feel pretty normal. I’m taking C/L 25/100 5-6 x per day. (2.5-3hrly) Would this

Broccoli Sprout Beverage can clear Acrolein
I am doing a deep dive on the benefits of Broccoli Sprouts and/or Sulforaphane. There seem to be a lot of benefits, so I am posting on them one benefit at a time. As I post more information, I will add the new information to a master document on Broccoli Sprouts - Sulforaphane so we end up with a cohesive

Neuroprotection and neuroplasticity benefits of cold water therapy
When you’re exposed to the cold, the body releases cold shock proteins known as RNA binding motif 3 (RBM3), which are directly linked to regeneration of synapses in the human brain. Synapses are gaps between neurons through which our neurons communicate, and are responsible for normal brain function

Could Heat Therapy Be an Effective Treatment for Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Diseases?
Neurodegenerative diseases involve the progressive deterioration of structures within the central nervous system responsible for motor control, cognition, and autonomic function. Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease are among the most common neurodegenerative disease and have an increasing prevalence

Newbie would like advise on side effect management please.
Recently diagnosed with tremor predominant
Parkinsonism
. I’ve been prescribed ropinirole & was warned that it may not help the tremor but actually it helps a lot. I’ve gone up from 4 to 6 mg this week which has brought a further improvement but has introduced an unpleasant side effect.

Barriers to exercise in parkinson
Exercise helps symptoms & slows disease progression, yet 41% with #Parkinsons do the same or less exercise than before diagnosis. Half don’t do recommended strength, balance & flexibility exercises. Others overdo it. Why? Personas give us a clue, as one size rarely fits all in pd https://twitter.com/

For this purpose, we are looking for people with Parkinson's disease to tell us how they cope with the handling of the apomorphine pens and pumps they use. We
