Infectious Etiologies of Parkinsonism: Pathomechanisms and Clinical Implications 2019 frontiersin.org/articles/10...
"This review explores the relationship between important infectious pathogens and Parkinsonism, including symptoms of Parkinsonism following infectious etiologies, infectious contributions to neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative processes associated with Parkinsonism, and the epidemiologic correlations between infectious pathogens and idiopathic PD.
"Viral Etiologies
Influenza a Virus
Herpes Simplex Virus 1
Epstein-Barr Virus
Varicella Zoster Virus (Chickenpox/Shingles)
Hepatitis CJapanese Encephalitis Virus, West Nile Virus
Human Immunodeficiency Virus
Bacterial Etiology
Helicobacter pylori Infection
From reading through the article, it is not just one thing that might be the cause of PD. Like, not everybody with PD has been exposed to EBV or VCV (but the percentages of those exposed to EBV are higher).
I had Shingles about 18 months before I started fighting in my sleep. And I could tell the shingles took something out of me. I was not the same after having them.
Two main focuses of mine are
1) Lowering inflammation and
2) Suppressing viruses.
