Paracetamol

I have nerve pain and osteoarthritis I lumbar low back 13 years, fibro 1989 diagnosis, many 'usual'symptoms.The drugs above have not worked for me. That's all I can reply. I hope your situation improves, much empathy......

They said to take painkillers, Paracetamol and Cocodamol. They said PPI’s would be better but I cannot take take them because of stomach problems. What I wanted to ask is, has anyone had this whilst on Pred. I have just reduced from 9.5mg to 9mg. so not sure if this has anything to do with it.

I'll take paracetamol if needed. Question: Should I increase my prednisolone up from 5mg daily for the course of the antibiotics or longer? If so, to what level do you suggest?

If I'm desperate ill take ibuprofen and paracetamol. Proper hefty painkillers didn't work for me and only made me feel terrible (Amitriptyline/Diazipam/Nefopam/Naproxen and more.) I want to cure the source not cover it up, I'm so sad that I'll have this feeling on my left side forever...

Nothing major and easily controlled with a paracetamol. (I’ve had occasional aura type disturbances for a many years but these have been more frequent of late ) . I have also developed a couple of mouth ulcers I’m looking for some advice really .

Just been diagnosed with Polymyalgia 2 weeks ago and am on Prednisone 15mg steroid dose alongside 2 x 500mg Naproxen, 1 dose 20mg Omeprazole, 4 daily doses of 2 x 500mg paracetamol plus 2 Adcal-D Calcium/vit D tablets.

GP insists it is OA and suggests ibuprofen or paracetamol orally for pain. Wants me off steroids sharpish. What do others think? Is knee and hand pain usual in PMR?

migraine never had this before but it's been 2 days now terrible head pain feeling sick when I rise from sleep which I've been doing a lot over the 2 days .I can't get an appointment to see a Dr for a week so by then hopefully it will have gone .I've never had this before in my life and it's terrible paracetamol

So I jumped on this fabulous forum and read up on the flare info and realised I’ve just done too much, so today I upped my pred from 4 to 6mg and added 2 x 500mg paracetamol and BINGO I’m back!

Paracetamol has reduced the aches but not the stiffness so I’m not sure if it’s steroid withdrawal or a mild flair or just over exertion. Finding it difficult to get in and out of the car and walk up stairs.

My belly button is so raw and on fire nothing is helping atm I'm wondering if anyone else suffers with umbilical endometriosis and has found anything that helps 😭 I use warm compress, keep it clean and have tried painkillers paracetamol and ibuprofen but nothing is touching it this time round

hi I’m 24 weeks and 3 days pregnant and have got piles all I’m doing is drinking fluid sticking to fruit veg and hi fibre foods I also have 4 other children I’m using paracetamol and laxative s along with cream I’ve had them 6 days now it really really hurts any advice welcome thanks for reading xx

i have a great affinity with cuba, having married one, bought a house there, although i live in the uk, and try and get there twice a year. due to the ongoing shortages of day to day medicines, paracetamol etc, i always take a case full of any over the counter medicines and basic health and hygiene supplies

This is new and persistent not responding to Paracetamol. I have been today to get blood tests. At the start of all this I had a CRP 58 and ESR 6 since treatment I have had CRP of <1 and ESR 2 throughout however the last test in Feb CRP was 3 and ESR 2.

At the moment I’m on dihydrocodiene and paracetamol which I know is strong but unfortunately it doesn’t seem to work. I find I can’t stand up for more than ten minutes without sitting down.

I take paracetamol very night which helps with sleep and taking the edge off stiffness in the morning. I could hardly get out of bed some days recently from painful stiffensess. It's all yuk yuk and yuk again. There is much more I have to manage, but you all understand.

I take paracetamol, GABApentin, duloxetine, omeprazole and levetiracetam. These are needed for back pain, sciatica, depression, epilepsy and stomach protection. So. I was wondering if anyone else out there has had the same thing happen to them?

Obviously with the fall risks he can't have anything other than paracetamol or ibuprofin. The ibuprofin has helped but it has been since taking it that his walking has detriorated dramatically. Also has anyone been able to get access to PSP or Neuro Nurses that have been helpful.

Hi Guys Not posted for a while I was just wondering if it safe to Aspirin my husband as NAFLD and is suffering with constant headaches he’s been prescribed paracetamol but they don’t seem to be helping so the GP gave him codeine which just made him sick.

Paracetamol are like sweets now, can’t remember the last time I didn’t take them. I have to constantly have a heat patch or hot water bottle attached to me (my tummy is a different colour to the rest of me- amusing really) … ooh has anyone used cold patches or anything like that?
