Flomax long-term?
I've been on Flomax (tamsulosin) since my positive biopsy in June 2022. In that time, I've had 2 years of ADT and 44 sessions of proton radiation, and am now done with treatments and all other drugs for the time being. It was initially prescribed at 2x/day, which was helpful during and after radiation

Tramadol/tramacet
Hi. I've gotten of pexola and circadin(melatonin, which made my rls worst)with many sleepless nights.Thereafter I had surgery and was prescribed tramadol for pain. I noticed my rls was so much better while I was on this. So I've started taking one tramadol or tramacet at 7pm Just afraid of going through

To radiate or not to radiate?
My metastatic prostate diagnosis was established three years ago by biopsy (Gleason 9) and PMSA that showed "innumerable osseous lesions" throughout my skeleton. I was started on ADT and initially responded well. However, my PSA has now risen to 0.7. So my oncologist ordered a repeat PET/PMSA that

My dad is 71 and has decompensated liver from Cirrhosis. He had had a transplant assessment and has been told he isn't currently physically strong enough. They will see him again in a few weeks.I'm finding the decisions he is making regarding his care and health difficult. Are there any helplines I can

Theoretical and in-vitro study of Sparganii and Curcumin together for castration resistant prostate cancer
I’ve not heard of Sparganii (sparganium) before but it’s not new to TCM. This herb combination is apparently a classic TCM treatment for CRPC. Wu, L., Chen, H., Long, Y. et al. Exploring the mechanism of action of Sparganii Rhizoma-Curcumae Rhizoma for in treating castration-resistant prostate cancer

Jaundice eyes
My partner has cirrhosis fibroscan 75kpa and capscore 310. Which I realise are on the high end of things. He has varices and is on betablockers. He has no ascites but his legs are swelled and itchy. His eyes are becoming more and more yellow almost orange in the corners. I don't know weather that

Study: Depression is largely prevalent, but undiagnosed in SLEResearchers in Pakistan surveyed 40 people with SLE using PHQ-9 scale
Depression is highly prevalent among people with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), but often goes undiagnosed, according to a single center study in Pakistan. The “treatment of depression is a vital component in the management of these patients and should be offered where appropriate,” the researchers

Curious what you think?
Background: I have to take my wife for all her appointments - doctors, hair, etc. Her MO who treats her blood cancer seemed like a good doctor but I know nothing about blood cancer. So I went to her with my records for a consult with the idea it would be easier and less hassle if we could get appointments

Post Kasai_ biliary atresia
My son is 6 months last week, he had biliary atresia and they did the kasai at 5 weeks, the jaundice is still there, how long does it take to clear? Also he was diagnosed with Cirrhosis of the liver. We start solids this week. The stool has changed to yellow now but sometimes it's oily. We were recommended

I wonder how many of us have this gene snip?It seems responsible for some autoimmune Thyroid disease and is quite rare
I have my nebula genomics results and this snip in particular seems relevant . Does anyone else have their results? Snip rs2476601 it says in snpedia.com that it is bad to have an A and very rare to have 2 AA Can cause lots of other autoimmune diseases too Best wishes Manjushri

PSA rising
Two months ago, husband’s PSA was .23, last month .20, yesterday .27. MO wants to watch and see what it is next month. Husband diagnosed 9/23, finished 6 rounds chemo on 2/21, is on Zytiga and Orgovyx currently. Concerned about the rise in PSA, would like input. Thank you.

Anyone have this happen after a treatment? I am well aware of all the symptoms and events but was wondering if anyone experienced this while getting treatments. My potassium level had gone from 5.4 to 7.0 after treatment a week beforehand and was told by the Oncologist to get to the ER ASAP. ER tested
