Recieved rheumatologist letter and conclusion
He reported that the introduction of Pred at 15mg was no more than an effective
pain
killer and also the reason why I could not successfully taper down from 15mg. The fact that my inflammatory markers have not changed also indicates that this was never PMR.

nausea and vomiting
I get nausea with bloating and
pain
regularly, but never vomited…. I often wonder if it will happen, occasionally getting that salivating sensation, or if the nausea is just a symptom of the endo or the
pain
killers (naproxen/amitriptyline). Do any of you ever actually vomit during a flare up?

safe painkiller use with tinnitus?
my question is apart from paracetamol which
pain
killer can I use without risking exacerbating tinnitus? I have an old injury that flares up now and again. I used to control it with ibuprofen but I understand ibuprofen is an ototoxic drug and to be avoided for those with tinnitus.

Why don’t my Family understand what Fibro does to me?
So sent to
Pain
clinic for assessment - given Painkillers, as the
pain
was quite bad by now Tramadol! Some relief for a few weeks, then it gradually came back, higher dose………. This became a cycle, later came Butrans patches….. the cycle happened again.

Tips for explaining chronic pain to family?
I was trying to defend myself as they questioned everything: my diagnoses, symptoms, doctors,
pain
itself, etc. :( The whole thing was really sad, so I’m wondering if anyone here has any tips (or good resources to send to people) so that they might better understand chronic
pain
, treatment for it, etc

Diverticulitis
After the
pain
subsided and the blood loss stopped, I was allowed home on the fourth day. I feel really alone and frightened. I have always been so active but the exhaustion is so bad. I just want to get back to normal.

Alverine and/or Simalvia - (which is alverine citrate with simethicone.) Side effects.
So far it seems ineffective on the
pain
anyway. Would love to hear other people’s experiences please. Thinking of going back to the buscopan!

Aspirin-induced gastritis and gastrointestinal bleeding
Over the last couple years I’ve lived with stomach
pain
. Often just a two out of 10
pain
level but it always was there, and sometimes 10 out of 10 with cramping. Sometimes i took painkillers just to deal with my stomach
pain
. At her suggestion I had an endoscopy three weeks ago.

Recently diagnosed
I never had any symptoms up until January and have been in horrendous
pain
ever since. Doctors in the hospital treated me like I was just trying to get
pain
medication. I finally on my last er visit got an endoscopy and my pancreas is in pretty bad shape.

is this PMR
However much
pain
& stiffness I was in he always ruled out PMR as I did not have every single symptom, my tapering was never altered in the 2 years. Every day now I wake up to stiffness in fingers, buttocks, thighs.,lower back, neck.
