Does anyone use an ap to track their diet?I have been reading Dian shepperton mills book on diet and ebdo but haven't finished it. I have reduced gluten right down and was low dairy, low meat, whole food anyway. I had a month pretty much pain free without painkillers but am having severe pain again now. The only difference is that I've eaten yoghurt with my breakfast for the past 3 days. I probably don't understand the low fodmap diet well enough yet or how it affects endo. Has anyone used an ap to track the diet and found it helpful?

Hi MalachiteAli
Good to hear from you. The low FODMAP diet can really some people with their endo symptoms, it has helped me. I haven't used a particular app myself, although I'm sure that there are many. I went to see a dietician on the NHS who guided me through the FODMAP diet, using a professional booklet. This felt like a really safe way of doing it, and I'd really recommend speaking to your GP about it. Perhaps others will be able to recommend apps too.
Take care,
Claudia
Hello,
I am a dietitian and if you want to do the FODMAP diet I would also recommend you do it under the guidance of a dietitian. It is not just about taking foods out of your diet. An important part is the reintroduction of FODMAP foods in a staged approach to see which FODMAP foods may be the problematic ones for you. A number of people continue to restrict foods indefinitely when this may not be necessary.
Your GP should be able to refer you to a dietitian.
Best wishes
Christina
